2 COMPETITION INFORMATION For the fourth consecutive time, Sportschool Tim Kool will organise the ITF Taekwon-do tournament the Holland Cup. Competition is open for all divisions (youth, juniors, seniors and veterans; colour belt and black belt) in the categories sparring, teamsparring, pattern and teampattern. This year, pre-arranged free sparring has been added to the tournament. Of course, the competing gym with the best ranking individual competitors will win the overall award! Furthermore, the organizing committee has decided to add an afterparty to the programme, which will be held on Saturday evening (June 1 st ). These are: ü Pattern ü Sparring ü Teampattern ü Teamsparring ü Pre-arranged free sparring Competition is possible for youth, juniors, seniors and veterans from any grade or degree. For an extensive description of the categories and rules per category we refer to the Holland Cup tournament rules (which will be available at the end of january). Competing gyms are allowed to subscribe coaches for both days. The amount of coaches depends on the number of competitors subscribed for that day. For example, a school subscribes 3 A-class competitors on Saturday and 8 B-class competitors on Sunday. 3 UMPIRES Competing gyms are encouraged to bring umpires. Umpires are obliged to show their umpire license on the day of competition; Attire: Navy blue pants, white shirt, navy blue tie, white shoes. This afterparty will take place in the cafeteria of sportcentre De Viergang (see attached map) from Entry to the afterparty is restricted to those 15 years and older and free for competitors / coaches / umpires using the Holland Cup ID card as a ticket. Official identification papers should also be brought, for age checks if required. Spectators are also allowed to come to the afterparty, but need to buy a ticket to gain entry. Tickets will be available at the entrance to the stands for spectators at a price of 5,- per person. LIABILITY The tournament organisation cannot be held liable for injuries acquired on the day of tournament due to irresponsible actions. For injuries due to errors made by the organisation, Sportschool Tim Kool can be held liable, but never to amounts above Sportschool Tim Kool s liability insurance. Press material made by the Holland Cup organization or individuals appointed by the organizing committee can be publicly used. Being present as competitor, coach or umpire at this competition means that you agree with these rules. We highly recommend competitors to bring their identification papers to the tournament. In case of injury, Dutch hospitals will ask for these papers. 3

4 PRESS AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL Promotional material (e.g. banners, flags) is strictly reserved for the organizing school. Other promotional material is not allowed. Filming is only allowed from the stands. Coaches and staff of the Holland Cup are exclusively allowed to photograph on the competition area. Photographing is only allowed for competitors from behind the fences. Photographs can be found after the tournament at SUBSCRIPTION Completed subscription forms need to be sent before Sunday, 19 th of May 2013 to the following address: For other questions or problems with the subscription you can contact the organizing committee by phone on (Corine Kool) or (Rory de Vries). ü Retraction or alteration of subscription is possible without fine if done up to 7 days in advance of competition (26 th of may 2013). ü Subscription fees need to be paid at the registration desk on day of tournament. ü Errors made in the subscription which will lead to a change in division of competitors will only be corrected after a fine payment of 10,-. ü By subscription to this competition you agree to all mentioned obligations. Our compliments for this very nice and successful taekwon-do event. Sabum Daniel Lammin: You did it again! After last year we thought the Holland Cup couldn t get any better, but we were wrong. Boosabum Sofia Pernikis: It was a great competition, really enjoyed it! Your hospitality was great, and all the enhancements that made the tournament quite special. Sabum Shane Fitzgibbon: I enjoyed my first experience of the Holland Cup, I definitely intend to return next year. You all set the standard high, not just or the tournament, but for the hospitality as well. 4
