6 PRO-RATA CHARGES What is Pro-rata charging? Pro-rata or pro-rating refers to the process of calculating the portion of a time period that a change, allowance of recurring charge applies to. The portion is uaually the number of days of the billing cycle which the customer was connected. Pro-rata adjustments to all relevant charges, allowances or data usage are automatically applied in our billing system and appear on the next bill. How is Pro-rata calculated? Pro-rata is calculations are based on 0.4 days in the month. When does Pro-rata apply? There are three examples of when a pro-rata charge may appear on a bill: > You connect to a new product or service part way through a billing period. > You change a product or service part way through a billing period. > You disconnect or move a product or service to another supplier part-way through a billing period. 17 Mobile # You have recently changed your plan.
