2 WELCOME TO EASTERN IOWA COMMUNITY COLLEGES SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM EICC Summer Learning Camps provide hands-on learning experiences for kids that engage their minds and their bodies. EICC Summer Camps can connect kids to new experiences, new skills and new friends. Outdoors, indoors, teamwork, fun and challenges each camp offers an opportunity to explore something unique AND to learn practical skills they can continue to use long after summer is gone. Kids can explore a future career, check out a possible college major or just have fun learning something new. HIGH SCHOOL TO HIGH SKILLS Provides youth an opportunity to develop the skills employers at all levels are seeking: communication, teamwork, time management, work ethic and accountability. Experience a (staged) real life disaster by assisting with emergency response, operating room, and dental and xray technicians in a timed scenario. DeClerck FIRST CAR SMARTS Practice the skills needed to be a responsible car owner and driver including basic auto maintenance such as fluids, tires, body; how to buy a used car and how to safely share the road with semi-trucks. Scott BAKE AND TASTE / CULINARY Learn some basic professional baking techniques from Chef Reece McRae in the state of the art culinary kitchens at Scott Community College in Bettendorf. It is the six digit number listed underneath the dates of the camp. Refunds and Substitutions If your plans change, you may cancel your registration up to three business days (Monday-Friday) prior to the start of the program and receive a full refund. After that, no refunds will be issued. Please note that if you don t cancel and don t attend, you are still responsible for payment. Class Cancellation - A decision may be made by the college administration to cancel the program based on unexpected facility issues or insufficient enrollment. The decision to cancel will be made 2 weeks prior to the camp starting date. Please Note: All campers will need to have a signed and completed waiver submitted prior to the first day of camp. You will receive this waiver by mail.
