2 About the project... The project had the objective to give practical knowledge for those young people who are the most effected by choosing a career. They got information on the professions from the first hand by the introduction of professionals, and they could also try themselves in practice. They got self-knowledge training to be aware their skills, to know what the best is for them. The main aims were to get to know themselves better, get relevant knowledge on professions to be able to make their own choice, and to be able to match their skills, knowledge and future ideas with a concrete profession. They also got useful knowledge on how to find the school where they will continue their studies to get the first step to their dream job. So, as a result of the project, they can decide what they really want to do in the future, and it lowers the risk of being unemployed or unhappy with their profession. In this manner the project also fights against youth unemployment. The partner organisation was the Pavel Satev Association from Macedonia. From Macedonia and from Hungary we had young participants aged between Each group had two group leaders. The youth exchanged was organised in Nyíregyháza, at the Korona Hotel. Before the youth exchange the youngsters had some tasks to base the efficient work during the programme. The youngsters and the group leaders introduced the situation of their countries, shared their experiences, made a small presentation. According to the feedbacks and evaluation it was a useful exchange. During the meeting the participants got knowledge on specific professions, labour market information, and skills development. Here you can read the report of the participants, who introduces each and every day for you.

3 On Monday I enjoyed the games, the LEGO factory and the salt cave. - Szandi We arrived on Sunday and after arriving at the hotel we could get to know each other a bit. On Monday we just had breakfast and went to the LEGO factory. We got opportunity to get to know the different parts of the producing of the LEGO products. Everyone got a little present from the factory which made us quite happy. We had so much fun with taking photos with the statues made from LEGO cubes. We took an amazing team photo and spent time with playing. After lunch we had some teambuilding games. Some games helped us so much to become friends easier. We could express our interest, hobbies through a creative task and made our personal development diary. The best event of the day happened after dinner, the so-called intercultural evening. Both teams had been preparing a lot before this evening.

4 We could build a bridge between our nations and everyone got closer to each other and got able to understand the differences and similarities. We all love eating and having fun, these two are the most important in our life. We had opportunity to taste national meals and sweets, some special soft drinks. On Tuesday It was such a great day! - Lilla After breakfast we had energizing activities and these exercises helped us to build a good team and to learn how to work in a group. We got the chance to imagine a realistic vision about our future. We practised our language skills during the games which were enjoyable. We were showed two presentations about the Hungarian and about the Macedonian school system. They caught our attention, because this youth exchange is about career choosing and future plans. I spent my time having fun. -Klaudia Career fair After lunch we had a great afternoon at the Human-Net Community House, where we could choose from interesting programmes like: We could have an insight into the training of the police dogs; they showed us how to give first aid. Furthermore the others could have a nice chat with an EVS volunteer and we had the opportunity to try out a police motorbike simulator. In addition, girls could make cake decoration from marzipan.

5 And not to forget about boys, they were amazed by the drones which flow through when the commando told us about the negative effect of drugs. I really liked the presentation of the police. - Jovana To sum up for us, it was the most interesting day with all the programmes, we learnt about schools, discussed about our future and had a fantastic Tuesday at the same time! 6 On Wednesday After breakfast we went to the Human-Net Foundation and through their presentation we got to know their work. We found out how they work on social field and which skills do you need if you want to work as social worker and the activities and tasks they do. We also had a presentation about financing and project managing, which was presented by Sándor, who works in BNP Humán Ltd. This company do the accounting for other companies. We went to have lunch and after that our next stop was the salt cave. It was a new experience for all of us. Our host was very generous and told us about her past, how and why she became a doctor. The salt cave was her own idea and she worked on it by herself and of course she succeeded.

7 Up next was the New Generation Office, the place where young people get around, working and thinking about their future plans. Besides the workers there are volunteers who support and help the youngsters with their school problems. Over all it was a good day with lots of fun and new experiences. On Thursday I really liked the Zoo, especially the snakes. - Sergej Zoo trip Nyíregyháza is famous for having one of the best Zoos in Europe. The Zoo trip yesterday helped us to get to know how people are working there with animals. We saw the effort, commitment and love which is needed if somebody wants to work here. The Zoo was very interesting place.

8 We really enjoyed this trip. Some of us got a chance to hold the lizard and a snake in our hands. This was also our first time to ride a camel. I loved riding camel. - Sara We all liked how the Zoo was split in continents; this was a really unique way of organizing things. After having a traditional Italian pizza, we went back to the hotel and despite being dog-tired we were all happy for having seen all of those animals for the first time. On Friday Now I can say that I have got experiences like never before, I got able to meet new people. I really loved the international evening and I could learn some Macedonian words, which will be useful if I go there one day. - Bence On Friday we made some preparation because of the online booklet. We collected our experiences and feelings in order to write our booklet more efficiently after going home. Also the Youthpass was introduced and we talked about the competences, know more about these through some activities. We could develop our skills during the youth exchange. At the end of the day we had some closing outdoor activities and farewell party, where we could eat some Hungarian goulash soup. It was really tasty. We had nice conversations with each other. It was a great ending of this youth exchange.

9 On Saturday After the evaluation we said goodbye and travelled back home. It was a very useful week for us and we got to know the cultures of each other. We learnt a lot and met new people. I liked that I met different people. - Filip I hadn t known what to expect from this project before arriving. Firstly it wasn t easy at all, I mean we didn t know each other, it wasn t easy to start conversations but our leaders tried helping us and I can say now that I met amazing people. This week made me want to participate in more and more youth exchange projects. I m thankful to the organisers as the quality of the accommodation and of the programmes was awesome. - Balázs
