Summary 1.1 Service Description As an integral part of IBM Business Analytics software, the Business Analytics Software Services organization provides education and expert services exclusively focused on the Business Analytics product portfolio. IBM s depth of experience and extensive proven practices help customers maximize their software investment, mitigate risks, raise the quality of their implementations and build valuable skills. IBM has provided training, guidance, advice, reviews, assessments and assistance to thousands of clients around the world, helping to ensure their business analytics implementations are optimized to take full advantage of IBM product capabilities. This selection of offering is for public sector bodies that want to explore and evaluate the innovative opportunities for the deployment of IBM Business Analytics solutions in a cloud based environment. The outputs from this service are listed in the relevant section below. 1.2 Service Characteristics Lot Specialist Cloud Services Applicability Contract Duration Contract Price Any public sector body that wishes to understand what opportunities there are within their remit for the delivery of IBM Business Analytics. Flexible to be agreed in the Call-Off Order Variable based on time and materials depending on the agreed Call Off Order with the Authority, the detailed scope of the work required by the Authority and the IBM resources required to undertake the work. Fees will be based on the IBM SFIA rate table which are exclusive of VAT and exclusive of out of pocket expenses for work delivered outside the M25. 4 2. Delivery 2.1 Context Assess overall Requirement: Work with key business and technical stakeholders to identify the area of business need and determine the benefits that are sought. Run focused roadmap workshops (max 2) with the business to identify the goals, expectations, timelines, systems which are involved. Identify a candidate project which will be the focus of the subsequent solution workshop. Run Project solution workshop (Max 2) with business and technical stakeholders who are involved with the candidate project area. Deep dive into the business requirements: Gather examples, understand drivers and map the processes. Deep dive into the technical systems: Identify sources, architecture and integration points. Solution Roadmap Discussion: Work with the business and technical stakeholders to produce a high level implementation plan for the proposed solution. Identify required resources, benefits, timelines and proposed outputs from project. 2.2 What we will deliver Within the scope or timescale approved by the Authority the outputs are: High Level Project Plan and implementation schedule High level resource plan High Level Solution design. 2.3 Commercials Any Work Order to be agreed with you for the delivery of this offering will be a Time and Materials contract, however, following the first phase of the work, there could be the opportunity to discuss the conversion of the initial quote into either a Fixed Price or Time and Material contract in order to provide increased flexibility for the customer. Initial work will be carried out under the Strategy and Architecture category of the IBM SFIA rate table unless agreed otherwise. Follow on work will be under the appropriate category(ies) of the IBM SFIA rate table. The scope of work will be set out in the Call Off Order Form and agreed by both parties. 5 Follow on services to enable you to complete implementation of cloud services can be provided by IBM. Details should be agreed via the Call-Off Order and priced using the IBM SFIA rate card. 2.4 Key Points Other key points to note are as follows: This offering is subject to availability of IBM resources. The Charges for this Service are on the basis that no Parent Company Guarantee is required. If one is required and agreed to by IBM then the Charges will be revised accordingly. Initial work will be carried out under the Solution Development and Implementation category of the IBM SFIA rate table unless agreed otherwise. Follow on work will be under the appropriate category(ies) of the IBM SFIA rate table. Travel and Subsistence (T&S) costs are included in the IBM SFIA rate table for work within the M25. For work outside the M25, T&S will be payable using the Contracting Body s standard T&S rates. The scope of work will be set out in the Call-Off Order Form and agreed by both parties. The pricing and terms on individual Call-Off Orders should be handled as commercially sensitive by the Contracting Body. Where work is of a sensitive and secure nature, security standards will be agreed between IBM and the Contracting Body, and if necessary IBM will ask the Contracting Body to issue a Security Aspects letter. Whilst we do not propose to handle or have access to any personal data, we will suggest and agree alternative approaches such as the use of anonymised data for testing purposes. The work is subject to the IBM Customer Agreement which is attached separately to this catalogue item. This proposal has been prepared and the price information estimated on the basis that, if both parties wish to proceed, the Services described will be performed under the terms of the relevant IBM standard agreement.
