6 Acdemic Progrm The University offers ABET-ccredited progrms in chemicl, electricl, mechnicl nd petroleum engineering nd provides clsses in science, mthemtics, liberl rts nd the humnities. Qulity & Accredittion Accredittion of the Texs A&M t Qtr engineering progrms is high priority. In Jnury 2007, Texs A&M t Qtr received ccredittion from the Southern Assocition of Colleges nd Schools (SACS). Immeditely following this SACS ccredittion preprtions were initited to seek ccredittion from ABET, non-governmentl orgniztion with membership of lmost 30 professionl societies. ABET ccredits engineering progrms in the United Sttes to ssure tht those progrms meet estblished high qulity stndrds. And in 2009 Texs A&M University received its ccredittion from ABET. As one of the most dvnced fcilities for engineering eduction in the world, the building is fully wireless nd fetures high-tech clssrooms, teching lbortories nd computer lbortories. The reserch nnex provides dditionl reserch lbortories tht give future Aggie engineers firsthnd experience.
