Students must submit this request to their college before the end of the officil dd/drop period, no lter thn the second Fridy of the fll nd spring semesters, the first Wednesdy of Summer Session 1, or the first Fridy of Summer Session 2. The course must be repeted within three semesters of the receipt of the originl grde, nd it must be tken t UIC. Only one registrtion for the course counts towrd the totl number of credits required for grdution. Undergrdute students re llowed grde point verge reclcultion in up to four repeted courses. Under the course repet policy, ll courses tken nd their grdes pper on the trnscript in the semester in which they were tken. Under the grde point verge reclcultion policy, the grde erned the first time the course is tken will be dropped from the clcultion of the cumultive GPA nd the grde(s) erned when the course is repeted will be used in the clcultion. This rule holds, even if the second grde is lower thn the first. If course is repeted more thn once, the first grde is not counted in the GPA, but ll other grdes for tht course re clculted in the cumultive GPA.
