The SPCR ws developed by the Government of Nepl with support from the Asin Development Bnk (ADB), Interntionl Finnce Corportion (IFC) nd the World Bnk, nd ws pproved on June 28, 20Lt by the Pilot Progrm for Climte Resilience (PPCR) Sub-Commiuee of the Climte Investment Funds. The Ministry of Agriculture Development (MoAD) is implementing the component D: Cretion of Agriculture Mngement Informtion System (AMIS) under the Building Resilience to Climte Relted Hzrds. The objective of the proposed project is to provide criticl nd timely gro-climte nd wether informtion to frmers in order to increse productivity nd reduce losses from meteorologicl nd hydrologicl hzrds. For Informtion Communiction Technology mngement ctivities, MoAD requires consulting services from n Informtion Communiction Technology (ICT) Consultnt. 2. Purpose The purpose of this consulting service is to ssist the Project Mngement Unit (PMU) of component D: cretion of AMIS to develop n ICT pltformiinterfce nd conduct ssocited web-portl mngement nd other ICT ctivities needed to crete functionl Agriculture Mngement Informtion System (AMIS) in line with the project objectives nd component description. The consultnt will lso build cpcity for Project Mngement Unit on the use nd mintennce of the ICT pltform of the AMIS nd ensure doption of proper ICT procedure. The Consultnt will prepre the ICT relted technicl content s mention in mjor tsk for PMU nd fcilitte cpcity building sessions for stkeholders on the use nd prctices ssocited with ccessing informtion from the AMIS. 3. Mjor Tsks The Consultnt shll work s prt of the Project Mngement Unit (PIvflJ) of MoAD nd work closely with other prtners ssocited with AMIS s well s other stffs relted to the project for ICT function in ccordnce with World Bnk/Government of Nepl guidelines for smooth & swift implementtion of proposed ctivities. S/he will support the PMU on ll the project relted ICT mtters in chieving the trgeted results. S/he will support in producing ll reports relting to the Informtion nd Communiction Technology system for AMIS s required by the World Bnk nd the Govemment ofnepl. S/he willtrnsfer the knowledge to the officils of the PMU.
