2 Motivation Our objective of the VOSS project is to investigate the work practices of scientists. We view documents as one way to track and understand how scientists go about the work of doing science. This slide deck has been developed to catalogue tools and platforms which are useful to collect and analyze data about the distributed collaboration of scientific practices. In this compendium we also include software and platforms we have observed in our fieldwork being used for the doing of science.
