7 Mass clean-up of remote key entries Use Case - Current Situation Remote keys for records got wrong values due to certain wrong assumptions in the customer design. We need to clean these by opening one record each time. Product Requirement: Need a way to mass clean up the unwanted remote keys (if found) based on certain key combination MDM SP11 Capabilities: Search by Remote-Key and by Remote-Systems Selection of multiple records - out of the search result Display all the Remote-keys across the selected records Select the Remote-keys to delete and perform a mass deletion 2013 SAP AG. 11 Change field title & tooltip in WebDynpro Use Case - Current Situation Using 1) Generic design for future scalability 2) Better fill rate by reusing same fields for the similar needs of different product types - e.g. use width field name, regardless whether it is outer width for one type of material and inner width for another. Thus we need balance clarity for users (specific field names). Product Requirement: For MDM Web Components: 1. Ability to change field title 2. 15 Separate Role restrictions on MDM clients and Web Use Case - Current Situation Roles for records creation, read and delete is defined at MDM Level and used also on Web UI (CE - Web components). On the web level, there are additional custom validations since the web UI is exposed to wider users group whereas MDM thick clients (Data manager, import manager; Syndicator) in only for power users. The "record creator" role of a web users should not have his role while using the MDM thick clients as these (MDM Thick clients) don't have enough validations. Product Requirement: Role restrictions separately on MDM Clients and Web Components MDM SP11 Capabilities: Each role will have "Applicable for" property with 3 options: All Clients MDM Win clients/mdm servers MDM web/api clients Keep the default as in the past (role for "All Clients") SAP AG. 20 Export Tuple fields data via Data Manager Use Case - Current Situation The export of data via Data Manager is used for a "quick export. Currently it is not possible to export Tuple fields data via Data Manager. You can only export Tuple fields data via Syndication. Product Requirement: Export data in Tuple fields via Data Manager. MDM SP11 Capabilities: Export data from Tuple fields to Excel or Access or Text 2013 SAP AG. All rights reserved. 20

26 Allow multiple users to own a Workflow Use Case - Current Situation Currently, only one user ID can own a workflow. This force us to share an "Administrator" user with multiple people to manage the workflow jobs. This does not comply with our internal audit standards. Product Requirement: Have multiple user ids to have the same ability to manage the WFs. MDM SP11 Capabilities: Within the workflow table, add "Administrators" new property which can contain multiple users with the similar "Owner" privileges. The "Owner" is still the "single entity", meaning: check-in and mail notifications will be done by the "Owner" and the "Owner" is recorded as performing the automatic steps SAP AG. 29 Allow multiple users to own a Workflow Administrators and Owner - Common rights See all the workflow jobs in queue. Workflow execution rights: e.g. "Assume" or "Assign" or "Next user". Allowed to delete all kind of workflow jobs. Unique Owner rights Sender name, in Notify" step mails. Operation at MDS level: e.g. check-out/check-in / rollback / commit / modify records SAP AG. 31 Exclude checkout and rollback in Change-Tracking Use Case - Current Situation 1. Currently the performance is very poor on the change tracking table. It takes a few minutes to simply get to the screen to select fields to report on. 2. Also the system includes entries in the table every time a record is checked out and rolled back causing additional entries in the table causing difficulties during an audit. Product Requirement: 1. There should be configuration options to include/exclude check in, check out and roll back in the change tracking table A2i_CM_History. 2. There should be better indexing to speed up the results. 3. The standard WebDynpro screens should allow the user to select fields, dates etc without querying the table each time as this slows things down each time you select or enter a search criteria it automatically completes the search leaving the user to wait for the results before adding further search criteria. MDM SP11 Capabilities: 1. Only support for include/exclude checkout/rollback. 2. Indexing is provided in a SAP note Search by select fields via standard Webdynpro component SAP AG. 32 Exclude checkout and rollback in Change-Tracking MDM SP11 Capabilities: MDM configuration to allow exclude /include tracking of the checked-out record operations. Once excluded, the MDS will stop writing all the operations on the checked-out record (including the rollback operations). Configuration in the Repository Properties (within the MDM Console).
