SAP ActiveEmbedded, product engineer on demand provides a facility to access a senior SAP product engineer with no agenda other than to help you ensure long term sustainability and minimum total cost of ownership for your systems. Access Access to an on call named, experienced and expert product engineer for a selected product area in a mutually agreed time zone* Issue Handler A dedicated issue handler for issues raised for the selected product in scope for the contact helping you to accelerate issue resolution *) determined during scoping aiming to achieve a minimum of 6 hours time zone overlap SAP AG or an SAP affiliate company. 6 How it works A product engineer will be able to Call me directly during our mutually agreed time zone, after I created a customer message on component XX-PED- Coach coach you through the SAP best practices configuration steps for a certain product. Advise advise on the required steps to configure a certain product to meet functional requirements supported through SAP standard. Explain explain how to perform necessary steps provided by SAP support to resolve an issue, and how to avoid this issue from reoccurring. A product engineer is not meant to perform the tasks normally associated with an implementation project team or services provided by a professional services consultant, implement changes or undertake implementation tasks, or replace functions covered by SAP AGS engineering services available through SAP ActiveEmbedded and SAP MaxAttention engagements SAP AG or an SAP affiliate company. Industry Challenge Solution Retail High Tech Industrial Components Wants to make sure that the web shop is accessible 24 hours a day and is scalable enough to handle peak customer traffic. SAP system needs to be configured to handle sales order processing of service-based product (without a shipment location). SAP support provided the steps required to resolve the issue. These are complicated and difficult to execute if not performed by someone experienced in SAP CRM. The PED coaches the customer through the SAP best practices configuration steps to ensure the CRM is load-balanced across all the connected Java servers. The PED advises the customer on the required steps to configure SD to skip the delivery requirement for sales orders of service-based products. The PED explains how to perform the corrective actions, how theses steps could impact the rest of the CRM system, and how to avoid this issue from reoccurring SAP AG or an SAP affiliate company.
