5 SAP HANA Big Data Intelligence rapid-deployment solution Software Requirements SAP HANA Big Intelligence rapid-deployment solution allows you to leverage the power of SAP HANA platform for big data scenarios. This solution provides multiple use cases and the software requirements are dependent upon what you implement. Please read the entire document to understand the requirements for your implementation. 1 Overview of the Software Requirements for this solution SAP HANA Big Data Intelligence rapid-deployment solution is designed for use in different industries and lines of business to address particular use cases for those areas. Software requirements are dependent on your choice of use cases. The uses cases provided by this rapid-deployment solution are: Semantic Intelligence Signal Intelligence for Monitoring and Predictive Analysis Signal Intelligence for Transformer Load Analysis Stream Intelligence for Web Stream Analysis Software requirements will vary depending on the use case you deploy. Review the entire document to understand the requirements for your implementation, as not all SAP software listed in the following section is required for every deployment. 6 2 Purpose of the Document This document contains all information to: Validate that key prerequisites such as software products and versions match the customer situation Check that all prerequisites for a customer implementation are in place Check that correct content, tools and skills are in place before the project starts The document lists different kinds of requirements on package level if they are valid for all scope items included in the package. For requirements valid for certain scope items only, these scope items are mentioned. The document contains prerequisites only, not the procedures to meet them. For how-to information (for example, how to find the download area) please refer to the configuration guides and the Quick guides for this solution. 3 General Project Prerequisites The following prerequisites need to be in place before an implementation project can start. 7 4 Technical Requirements This section contains technical requirements in different areas. For each requirement, the relevance for scope items of the package is provided. 4.1 Required Product Versions and the SAP Note The SAP Note for SAP HANA Big Data Intelligence rapid-deployment solutions lists the service package (SP) level for all the software required to implement and run the solution: Before you start the activation of any scope items, review the SAP Note for the solution package for the latest updates on software SP levels. 8 5 Software Requirements by Use Case All use cases require Edition, though additional requirements are dependent on the particular use case you deploy. The following provides information on the software requirements for each use case. 5.1 Semantic Intelligence Semantic Intelligence (SEI) use case provides sentiment analysis, social analytics, and context reasoning for brand and product marketing, as well as promotion, product, content, category, service, and loyalty management. Required software for SEI: Edition Edition. 1.0 SAP HANA Server SAP HANA Client SAP HANA Studio The delivery unit for SAP UI5 and Text Analysis configurations would be part of the SAP HANA installation. SAP Data Services SAP DATA SERVICES 4.2 Server and Designer SAP Data Services (DS) has dependencies on SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform (or IPS - Information platform services) for security and user management SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform (ENTERPRISE) SBOP BI PLATFORM 4.1 SBOP BI PLATFORM SERVERS The SBOP BI platform components required by SAP Data Services may optionally be provided by SAP BusinessObjects Information platform services (IPS).
