WORKS/CONSTRUCTION The design and construction of plants for the treatment of drinking water, wastewater, industrial wastewater, or waste. Our teams work on the studies, plans, works and putting the plant into operation. OPERATIONS/INDUSTRIAL SITES SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT guarantees the performance of contracts in accordance with the objectives defined (operational and technical optimisation of facilities, management of economic aspects, etc). 10 PATRICIA R&D ENGINEER CIRSEE My job is to bring together different project managers working on similar subjects in order to allow them to exchange knowledge. I also have a significant support role to play. I also participate in the development of pilot projects, I validate the way in which the project is to be approached and sometimes the plans themselves. The job involves a lot of coordinating and supporting. Another important aspect of my job is to communicate and use the results that we obtain. We need to communicate to promote our knowledge. Being able to work with universities, with people outside the organisation is another important aspect, it allows for very fruitful exchanges. 9

14 OLIVIER SALES MANAGER SITA My job mainly consists of defining the sales strategy in collaboration with my Branch Director. The aim is to define the development priorities and the objectives for the year. We are constantly confronted with new problems for which we need to find innovative solutions. We do not offer standard solutions to our customers but tailored ones. It is this in particular that makes the job interesting, in addition to all the added value that come through contact with the teams and customers. 13

PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES > Performs studies according to the methodology defined when reviewing the contract, ensures the diffusion of useful information to all involved in the project, prepares all necessary documentation required in the implementation of the contract. 21 12 ENGINEERING & DESIGN DEPARTMENT HEAD SITA FRANCE -SUBSIDIARIES > Leads the activities of an engineering and design office in projects such as contract renewal, design/improvement of services, products, equipment or industrial processes. FINANCIAL STUDIES & IMPLEMENTATION > Involved in studies and budgeting in the pre-project or project stage. > Co-ordinates and manages project execution in line with corporate policy and budgetary constraints. > Participates in studies and costing of the pre-project and project phase. > Participate in the technical options and methods of execution in accordance with the customer s specifications. > Provide technical support for sales meetings with customers. 25 DAMIEN COMMISSIONING ENGINEER DÉGREMONT I am involved in the start-up of water treatment plants. I like this job as you get to do lots of different things; it allows me to come into contact with all the technical, engineering and management jobs. I work a lot abroad so it is essential to be able to speak some English and other languages too, if possible, in order to facilitate relations with customers. It is a very rewarding job as I am really at the end of the project chain, it is the moment where all the work that Dégremont has done beforehand comes to fruition. 24

27 JÉRÔME BUSINESS ENGINEER DEGRÉMONT The role of a Business Engineer is to ensure that projects are successfully completed with regards to time, quality and profitability. You are the leader of a multi-disciplined team all along the life of a contract. What I like about this job is that, firstly, we deal with water which for me is a noble subject with a future. The job allows me to participate in all the stages of constructing a water treatment plant, from engineering studies to the moment when the plant is put into service. It is a fascinating job with significant responsibility but we are never on our own. I manage a multidiscipline team composed of people of different nationalities and cultures. The rich discussions that take place are very interesting and ensures a dynamic team which is necessary for the success of the project. 26
