The 2015 International Convention will take place July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We look forward to seeing you in Milwaukee! Spread Creativity In Your Community Inspiring creativity in our youth is the key to building a bright future. That's why the Fraternal Order of Eagles provides an outlet for children in grades 3-6 to get their creative juices flowing through the annual Children's Art Contest. Children are provided a unique theme and asked to create an original work of art for a chance to win cash prizes. Members are encouraged to reach out to local schools and incorporate the contest into local art curriculums. Reach out to your local schools and encourage them to have submissions sent to the Grand Aerie Headquarters by February 13, 2015, for consideration in the 2015 Children's Art Contest. Winners will be announces April 1, For information visit the Art Contest page at Diabetes Research Center Update While we proudly opened the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center and gave the final check to fulfill our $25 million commitment to the University of Iowa earlier this year, our goal is not yet finished. In a previous year, in order to meet the obligation of our DRC commitment, we borrowed $2.1 million for the Charity Foundation. As of December 12, 2014, a total of $1,720, was left to raise. We must continue to fundraise and pay off this loan to complete our commitment made six years ago. We encourage all Aeries and Auxiliaries to continue their efforts to support this terrific cause and fully complete our goal. Enter the 2015 Children's Day Contest For more than a century, the Fraternal Order of Eagles has maintained a commitment to building our future. Aeries and Auxiliaries throughout the United States and Canada are encouraged to work with community youth to teach the values of community service and philanthropy and share their efforts by entering the Children's Day contest. ANY youthoriented event held by an Aerie or Auxiliary from Aug. 1, 2014 to May 31, 2015, is eligible for consideration in the Children's Day contest. The winner will be chosen at the 2015 International Convention in Milwaukee, Wisc., and awarded a $3,000 grant from the Jimmy Durante Children's Fund to present to an organization of their choice. 3 International Sports Update Children's Day 2014 Winner As we approach the new year, a variety of great International Sports opportunities exist for Eagles everywhere. Start Planning Your Auction Items For the last four years, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center live auction has been a staple of the annual International Convention, showcasing a variety of great items and raising more than $60,000. The auction WILL return in 2015, so we're encouraging all Aeries and Auxiliaries to begin preparing their ideas in hopes of breaking this year's record of $24,950. 4 Put Your Bulletin In The Spotlight! The foundation of every successful Aerie & Auxiliary is keeping members informed. Each year, we award the members who make the most of their bulletins and work hard to keep Eagles in their area in the loop through the Grand Aerie Bulletin Contest. Bulletin editors are encouraged to submit their best issue from the months of September, October and November 2014 for consideration in the 2015 Bulletin Contest. Entries are due to the Grand Aerie Headquarters by January 23, Winners will be announced on March 2, 2015, and will receive plaques commemorating their achievement which will be presented during their respective State/Provincial Conventions in the Spring.
