2 Projektinformation Titel: Projektnummer: Projekttyp: Jahr: 2012 Status: Land: Marketing Text: Zusammenfassung: Pfade für Absolventen PL1-LEO Innovationstransfer bewilligt PL-Polen PfG zielt darauf ab, die Integration junger Absolventen in den Arbeitsmarkt zu verbessern und zu beschleunigen. Dies soll durch einen mehrsprachigen und interkulturellen Trainingskurs geschehen, der es Ihnen erlaubt, die notwendigen Fähigkeiten zu erlangen um entweder direkt in den Arbeitsmarkt einzutreten oder weitere Qualifizierungsmaßnahmen zu identifizieren und in Anspruch zu nehmen. Gleichzeitig erlaubt es Ausbildungsorganisationen gezieltere Informationen über die Bedürfnisse der Auszubildenden. The PfG project will have a very significant impact on Graduates as it will assist them to get a job. It will do this by greatly improving their employability through developing their soft skills (communications, team work etc); improving their job search skills; building a deep understanding of what employers are looking for in potential new employees; & developing their interview and presentation skills. The following objectives have been set: Better equip trainees for smooth integration into employment through improved workplace communication and teamwork skills Assist trainees to build an electronic/online career portfolio and use online career marketing tools to search and apply for jobs either locally or internationally & increase their ability to compete for jobs. Orientate trainees in VET structures and ways to access training as a means to personal development and improved employment opportunities Gain an indepth understanding of the barriers facing young graduates in partner countries and the practical ways in which they can be overcome Transfer (including adaptation) existing training materials to create a new training resource combining classroom teaching and online content. Ensure the high quality of the new training resource by carrying out a thorough testing process with the target group. Promote the widespread use of the training course focussing on Universities, VET Institutions and social actors with access to graduates, and other training bodies with potential to mainstream the course. The PfG consortium of 5 partners from 4 countries has developed over time as a strong multidisciplinary partnership. Collaboration between 4 of the partners was consolidated in the previous LLP project, and 2 others have worked previously on an ERASMUS project. Beschreibung: Pathways for Graduates (PFG) wass based on an existing Employment Upgrade course developed in 2009 by the Pathways to Work Consortium to help young immigrants working in jobs inferior to their skills level, overcome barriers and upgrade their employment. The existing tool for Immigrants has 7 modules: Building Personal Confidence & Self Awareness Developing Teamwork & Communications Skills What do you need to work/live abroad? Know your Employment rights Career Preparation Job Search Skills & Interview techniques Money Management These modules were adapted to the needs of new target groups (University and VET school Graduates). In addition to the basis of Baseline Audit & Needs Analysis Report three new modules were added: Presentation Skills 2

11 Produkt 'Baseline Audit & Needs Analysis Report' Titel: Baseline Audit & Needs Analysis Report Produkttyp: andere Marketing Text: The report presents findings of the research conducted in 4 countries: Poland, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain in the framework of the project Pathways for Graduates. Beschreibung: The report was prepared on the basis of Focus Group Interviews (company representatives, VET Professionals and Governmental Representatives) and Young Graduates Online Survey. The needs analysis of the project was carried out to ensure that the trainings, courses and information materials of the project will be produced according to the customers training needs and stakeholders interests and to recommend suitable content. The results of the Pathways for Graduates Needs Analysis Study show that there are country specific differences regarding the perceived barriers. 16 Produkt 'Pathways for Graduates Training Course' Titel: Pathways for Graduates Training Course Produkttyp: Module Marketing Text: Pathways for Graduates Training Course is a balanced, professional set of learning resources suitable either for young graduates entering the labour market or learners when working with youth. Beschreibung: The Pathways for Graduates Training Course is a multilingual course available online and in DVD formats. The materials provide a full pack of resources to be used in classrooms or individually. This training course is a set of ten modules dedicated to different areas and aspects of searching a job: from building personal confidence to practicalities of starting a job. Prepared by all partners, Pathways for Graduates is very useful tool for young graduates struggling with unemployment, but it can also be used by learners working with groups of young people. 17 Produkt 'Pilot Test Report' Titel: Pilot Test Report Produkttyp: Verfahren zur Analyse und Prognose des Berufsbildungsbedarfes Marketing Text: Pilot testing led by FLM allowed for the perfection of the Pathways resource. This Pilot Testing of all materials with target group(s). It provided qualitative and quantitative feedback and basis for subsequent changes, therefore ensuring relevancy and quality of the new training resource and achievement of desired project impacts. Beschreibung: The pilot test took place from March to June The technical requirements for the test were internet connection for access to project website; questionnaires completed by target group at end of session; internet connection to collate findings at Feedbackfarm and Microsoft Excel or similar open source software to handle questionnaire results. The fourth newsletter informs about Exploitation Event, which was organized in November in Poland. The Exploitation Event was an event on which there was Pathways for Graduates Training Course presented. The fourth newsletter summarizes also the whole research process and shows it s results pointing out barriers that graduates face when they are looking for a job. The main idea of this newsletter is to promote usage of multilingual and multicultural training course created by Pathways for Graduates project partnership. 19 Veranstaltungen Launch Event and Work Fairs Datum Beschreibung The project Launch Event and Work Fairs were held at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Services of University of Szczecin. The Launch Event was combined with Graduation Ceremony at the Faculty. One of partner institution gave a speech to the guests about situation of young graduates in United Kingdom. Pathways for Graduates Training Course was presented to the audience. Partners promoted the training course among graduates as a very useful tool which can help them to enter into the job market. During the Project Launch Event there were also Work Fairs held. University of Szczecin with the support of Academic Careers Office invited 15 companies from West Pomerania to participate in it. Those companies, together with PfG project partners, delivered to graduates lots of information about current situation on a job market and possible ways to increase chances of a graduate to get a job. Many employers presented to the guests their job offers, there were also companies which tought young graduates how to start their own business. For the purposes of the work fairs University of Szczecin prepared a Pathways for Graduates exhibition stand. Then the schedule of Launch Event in Szczecin was described by a Chairperson. During the meeting the financial issues and dissemination activities were discussed. The Chairperson has informed all partners about the progress in preparation of project publication (value added). All incoming deadlines were agreed during the partner meeting. During the meeting the External Evaluator has presented to the partners findings from the Pathways for Graduates project. The lead partner has also discussed Exploitation and Marketing Plan. Then partner responsible for pilot testing has presented the Pilot Test results. The next dissemination activities were also discussed during the partner meeting. The lead partner has discussed the Interim Report and also Administrative and Financial Matters in detail. Partner responsible for technical realisation of the project has presented the draft version of online course on project website. The Chairperson has highlighted key issues of Launch Event in Szczecin which will be organised at Faculty of Management and Economics of Services (University of Szczecin). At the end of the meeting the internal evaluation and future activities were also discussed. Then the project partner has presented the Mini Pilot Test results (conducted in United Kingdom, Poland, Spain and Germany). The next point of the meeting was presentation of modules and additional materials combined with discussion about final vision of modules. Then the Chairperson has presented the expectations of the leader to Pilot Test methodology. The partner responsible for technical realisation of the project has presented statistics of project website. The following issues were also discussed: administrative and financial issues, dissemination process, Quality Management and Evaluation. At the end of the meeting the Chairperson has presented the future activities in the project and next project deadlines. Then the role and responsibility of each partner in project was discussed. The lead institution has also presented administrative and financial rules. At the end of the meeting the following issues were discussed: Dissemination Strategy, project logo, Quality Management and Evaluation.
