Das ist mit DECIDE-IT möglich, einem Online Multiplayer Serious Game, welches das Ziel verfolgt, eine Gruppe von Managern in Bezug auf ihre Entscheidungsfindung in Stresssituationen zu trainieren In a rapidly changing world, many decisions are taken in conditions of stress and tight time pressure. Often, the results are less than optimal. Against this background, the goal of DECIDE-IT was to create an innovative, easily used teaching methodology that improves learners' capabilities when they are forced to take decisions in conditions of stress. The project has taken methods originally designed to train personnel involved in the management of natural and industrial disasters, and adapted them for use in management training. DECIDE-IT s educational strategy is experience-based, simulating stressful situations without exposing learners to the risks they might involve. To this end the product adopts a blended approach, mixing classical training with tutor-supervised virtual role-playing in an online 2D simulation environment. : Themen: Sektoren: Produkt Typen: Produktinformation: The goal of the project was to build a game-based methodology to train managers in decision making. The result is a web-based computer game that reproduces a small business simulation through which players are involved in dynamic group decision making processes. Learning is delivered in a blended approach with a facilitator supervising each training session. The game has a high level of flexibility allowing the trainer to cover different topics in decision making, from group dynamics to complex problem solving. The partnership consisted of ISTC-CNR, which helped to develop the original tool, and adapted it for use in the project and three large companies (in Italy, Romania and Spain) offering IT solutions and consultancy. These companies have tested the tool in the training they provide to their managers. The project begun with a pilot test of the original DREAD-ED system with a small group of managers. This study identified adaptations necessary to meet managers' specific needs. Followed a phase of technological and methodological adaptation that lead to the development of a full scale system. The system was tested in three trials, organized by the three industrial partners. The project has dedicated a major effort to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the methods and technologies it developed. This effort has been facilitated by the market strength and knowledge of the three companies participating in the project. 3 Projektinformation educational games and simulations. It is designed to teach Dynamic Decision Making in a quick and effective way. Dynamic decision making refers to the kind of decision making required in stressful, complex and rapidly changing situations very common in nowadays business world. The DECIDE-IT Training Kit is composed of the following parts: - an Online Multiplayer Game based on a business simulation - A User Manual that explains how to play the game and how to use the game interface - A Methodological Manual that teaches the basic princiles of Game Based Learning and Dynamic Decision Making. It also comprises the necessary theoretical background needed by trainers to implement the Game Based Learning methodology in a proper way - A document reporting results of the trials performed during the project, that is useful when planning new training courses. The demo of the game is available for free accessing the link below. It doesn't need you to create an accont, just click "enter as a guest" and then "new game". Many users can join the same game session and play together. They can share ideas and plan a strategy using the text chat available in the game interface. Actions from one user is notified to all user through the notification board. The MANUALS are available for download in the Product downloads area. The Methodological Manual illustrates the theoretical background of the game which is built upon the concepts of Dynamic Decision Making.
