2 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Convention State Convention: Next October. National Convention: April 6-10 in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are sending 20 students. Motion: I would like to make a motion to cover the registration cost for the National convention four board members, who are on the state board,. -C. Yamaguchi/ R. Haight, Passed -Seven in favor. -Abstained: K. Ferreira, K. Vaughan, S. Murphy, S. Buchanan, C. Schrodel Bylaws Are used to show how things are done and who can vote for what. Big changes will be adding mentoring position. Mentor Event CNSA membership South New ideas for mentoring event: Car pool because parking is limited, having raffles and making fliers. Total cost for BBQ event $50. San Diego State University hosted the event. We had 84 people attend from nursing students in Southern California. CNSA puts on two meetings every year one in the South and one in the North. White Coat Ceremony Program Committee Sunday March 6, It is for 1 st semester students. 4 Fundraisers: Jenny Song Danielle Apuntar Order merchandise for SON. Work closely with treasure and Vice president for NSO. We also put on Fundraiser. Fundraising event Week of Valentines day we plan on having a fundraising event at Yogurtland. Community Health Director: Kaley Ferreira New Merchandise Your Hired! Events Sweatpants in Black. Written by a state adviser. Geared for nursing students and nurses on how to get a job. Set up community events. March of Dimes: March for Babies on Saturday, April 30 th starts at 8pm. CNSA Recruiter: Desiree Sonza Global Medical Brigade. Would like to apply for an award at NSNA. I recruit students to sign up to become members. Program committee: Kelly Turner, Shannon Murphy, and Charla Tinsley CHHS liaison: Summer Buchanan NSO Next meeting Recruited 66 new members total. 53 of which signed up for the 2-year membership. Meet with the facility in charge of the nursing program once a month. Our next meeting we plan to go over the Medical/Surgical hours for third semester. Liaison between the Health and Human Services and CNSA. Legislative Director: Russell Haight Events May 24 th Mana event. A mentoring program for Latina women. They need help with watching the children during this event. Keep chapter members up to date on health care news. Write resolutions. Resolution Bleeding disorders raising awareness. Current event Working on redoing bylaws. Working with Jessica who is interested in becoming the next Legislative director. Helping her write a resolution about using ph strips with NG tubes. Meeting with our congressman in DC next

5 Legislative Director: Russell Haight Resolution Current event Keep chapter members up to date on health care news. Write resolutions. Bleeding disorders raising awareness. Working on redoing bylaws. Working with Jessica who is interested in becoming the next Legislative director. Helping her write a resolution about using ph strips with NG tubes. Meeting with our congressman in DC next week to go over our resolution. BTN Director: Kathrine Kabiling Brenda Hernandez Up coming event Article in Imprint about our resolution. Go to schools and talk about nursing school and nursing in general. We also go to career fairs, and science festivals. February 16 Lincoln High school. Vital Signs Editor: Sheridan Ard Mentor Director: Josh Mondloch & Kelsey Moscas First Semester Reps: Loraine Santiago Second Semester Reps: Becky Ainsworth Third Semester Reps: Shannon Murphy Fourth Semester Rep: Summer Buchanan Fifth/Sixth Semester Rep: Breanda Hernandez Faculty Advisor: Professor Hall Up coming event Membership South Meeting Print out the Vital Signs newsletter and send out the blast once a month. Pairing up nursing students further in the program with new nursing students. We have 2 events throughout the semester. One at the beginning and one at the end. We summated an abstract to WIN if we get accepting we will get to attend the WIN conference. This was a great event. It allowed nursing students from different schools to network one another. Mentor Program I now have students to help me in the skills
