Granaderos, Damas, Fifers and Drummers in period outfits can rest their feet as we will not be marching the 2.6 mile parade route. The float can fit up to twelve people, which is about the number of participants we normally get. Our staging position is E-22 so when you arrive, ask a parade representative where Entry E-22 is staged. Governor Joe Perez will be at the site around 3:30 p.m. with a cooler full of complimentary sandwiches, sodas and water. The city starts blocking off streets in the area at about 4:00 p.m., so arrive before that time if you want to park in the area. At least one vehicle will be staged at the end of the parade route to bring participants back to the parade starting point. There will be an audience of 600,000 people along the parade route with another 1.5 million watching it on television. So, start practicing your parade wave and join us on the float.
