3 The Future Workforce/The Aging Worker Purpose This seminar will provide current informa on on occupa onal medicine and networking opportuni es needed to keep current in occupa onal medicine. Intended Audience This seminar is intended for occupa onal medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse praconers and occupa onal health nurses. Educational Objectives Following the program, par cipants should be able to: Produce at least three examples of work site health and wellbeing programs that integrate worker protec on and workplace health promo on interven ons Derive five evidence based resources and tools for implemen ng total worker health programs in the workplace Recall two demographic trends shaping the future American workforce Evaluate neurologic func on and assessing ability to return to work Judge toxicology cause and effect on neurologic func on State the advantages versus disadvantages and indica ons versus contradic ons for neuropsychological evalua on of aging workers Analyze the need for state and local OEM representa on and iden fy effec ve models and best prac ces Construct strategies on how to navigate through medical legal challenges in occupa onal medicine prac ce Extend hearing conserva on services offered to client companies Determine when to treat and when to refer the aging worker with knee pathology Recognize the cogni ve limits of normal aging Describe features of impaired cogni on in aging Iden fy essen al elements of successful work site health program design Recognize the recent changes in the DOT's requirements for cer fica on for Medical Examiners

4 Annual Fall Seminar The Future Workforce/ The Aging Worker Con nuing Educa on Credits ABPM Credit This seminar has been approved for Lifelong Learning Self Assessment/Maintenance of Cer fica on (LLSA/MOC) credits by the American Board of Preven ve Medicine (ABPM), based on actual a endance. The maximum number of credits is 6.25 LLSA/MOC credits for September 14 and 4 LLSA/ MOC credits for September 15. You must complete and submit a post test (provided at the seminar) to receive credit. Central States Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association (CSOEMA) is one of the largest components under the auspices of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), with 400+ members in the seven central states. A dynamic group of physicians encompassing specialists in a variety of medical practices is united via the College to develop positions and policies on vital issues relevant to the practice of preventive medicine both within and outside of the workplace. ACOEM represents over 4,000+ physicians specializing in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The largest amusement park in the Midwest is fun for the whole family at Vallyfair Amusement Park or to find wet fun visit the three stories of water slides at the Depot Minneapolis Water Park in downtown Minneapolis.
