2 COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience in current and emerging networking and web design technology that will empower them to enter employment and/or further education and training in the computer networking field. The processes of designing and maintaining a Web site will be covered as the student develops personal web pages. CAREER PREPARATION STANDARDS/EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS 2 I. ORIENTATION A. Explain and demonstrate how to save a web page to study its underlying structure. 4 VIII. WEB PAGE BASICS A. Identify and use the basic software requirements needed to write and display HyperText Markup Languague (HTML) code. B. Identify the various browsers used on the internet and examine how different browsers and operating systems can affect the way web sites are displayed. C. Identify and compare the software requirements needed to create and modify images for the web. D. Identify the various multimedia programs available to design dynamic web content. E.
