4 U.S. Commercial Service The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce s International Trade Administration. Who We are U.S. Commercial Service trade professionals in over 100 U.S. cities and in more than 75 countries help U.S. companies get started in exporting or increase sales to new global markets.

5 Why Export? 95 percent of the world's consumers live outside of the United States, so if a U.S. business is only selling domestically, it is reaching just a small share of potential customers. Exporting enables companies to diversify their portfolios and to weather changes in the domestic economy. Exporting helps small companies grow and become more competitive in all their markets. Free trade agreements have opened up markets in 20 countries, including many key markets in the Outdoor Industry sector, such as Canada, Australia, and South Korea. FTA s drastically lower the barrier-of-entry for many U.S. business looking to go abroad.

6 Benefits of Exporting Economic Impact In the past 25 years, U.S. exports increased five-fold from $224 billion to more than $1.1 trillion in About one of every five factory jobs or 20 percent of all jobs in America's manufacturing sector depends on exports. Workers in jobs supported by merchandise exports typically receive wages higher than the national average. Small businesses create 70 percent of the new jobs in America. More than two-thirds of exporters have fewer than 20 employees.

7 US Commercial Service- Paid Services Gold Key Matchmaking Service (GKS): Spend your time doing what you do best -- managing your company. Let the U.S. Commercial Service arrange business meetings with pre-screened contacts representatives, distributors, professional associations, government contacts, and/or licensing or joint venture partners. International Partner Search (IPS): You provide your marketing materials and background on your company. We use our strong network of international contacts to interview potential partners and provide you with a list of up to five pre-qualified partners. International Company Profile (ICP): Our worldwide network of specialists can investigate the financial strength of a company and provide useful information gleaned from the local press, industry contacts, and other sources. These reports are required by many export financing organizations.

9 Overview: International Buyer Program (IBP) The IBP is a joint government-industry effort bringing thousands of international buyers to the United States for business-to-business matchmaking with U.S. firms. Results in approximately a billion dollars in new business for U.S. firms and increased international attendance for participating trade shows How does it work? IBP provides complimentary services for U.S. companies for the purpose of promoting exports of U.S. goods and services Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (ORSM) & the IBP FY2014: IBP supported 34 domestic trade shows Over 600 delegations Over 13,500 delegates

The USCS will promote your company to the foreign buyers based upon the information you provide to us on the web registration tool. The less a foreign buyer knows about you and your product, the less interest they will have. The USCS will vet foreign buyers that reach out to a US supplier International Company Profile (ICP) report

18 IBP Registration (continued) Next, you may sign up for the B2B service. Signing up for B2B will allow us to promote your company and products to the foreign buyer delegations and ensure you get invitations to B2B networking opportunities

19 IBP Registration (continued) Next you will be asked to sign up for the Showtime service. Signing up for this will allow us to arrange meetings with the industry specialists escorting their delegations to the show. Appointments will occur during ORSM at your booth or the International Trade Center.

20 IBP Registration (continued) Next, you may click the radio button in order to ensure your company is included in the Export Interest Directory (EID). The EID will be a booklet available to international attendees in the International Trade Center, and will help them narrow down their prospects and navigate the show floor.
