WIND SOLAR BIOMASS MARINE TRANSMISSION STORAGE WHAT DO WE DO? WHAT DO WE DO? RES develops, constructs and operates renewable energy projects worldwide. We have over 8GW installed capacity and have thousands of megawatts in development. RES is also an independent power producer - we own and operate our own assets as well as a portfolio of wind farms and solar parks for our clients. RES is involved in the development of solar, marine and biomass power plants. We have the expertise, the resources and the project management capabilities needed to develop, construct and operate large scale, grid-connected renewable power generation plants. We are constructing transmission lines in North America, Canada and Northern Europe to improve accessibility to energy. We are also involved in energy storage projects in North America to balance power flows and maintain the reliability of the power system. This enables the use of renewable energy to become more widespread. RES provides strategic advice on renewable energy and carbon reduction, and offer award winning advice on sustainable buildings for both the commercial and public sector.
WIND energy 160,000 households could be powered by one of Europe s largest onshore wind farms - Sidensjö Nordisk Vindkraft (RES) has developed and is constructing and operating the 144MW Sidensjö wind farm on behalf of investors. This demonstrates our unparalleled expertise to construct and operate in challenging cold climate conditions.
Expertise and an excellent reputation for project delivery WIND ENERGY RES has been leading the field in wind energy development worldwide for more than 30 years. Our in-house skills encompass all aspects of development from site prospecting, assessment and wind farm design, through the planning and construction phases, to the operation and maintenance of a generating wind farm. WIND ENERGY We ensure projects are designed to maximise the power output, whilst also maintaining our reputation for delivering a sensitive and consultative approach to the environment and local communities. RES has successfully delivered over 8000 megawatts of utility-scale renewable energy capacity worldwide, as well as developing smaller scale wind projects for landowners and businesses. RES also plays a role as owner and operator of major wind farms. We manage all aspects of wind farm operations including the day to day site management, remote monitoring and analysis, maintenance planning, commercial and administrative support including stakeholder relations, throughout the project life cycle.
SOLAR energy The Webberville Solar facility in Texas, constructed and maintained by RES Americas, has an installed capacity of 30MW and provides electricity to meet the needs of approximately 5,000 homes annually.
50MW Webberville Solar, USA Photo: Pascal Rodriguez Photo: PV Systems Puits Castan 5MW Solar plant, France Solar roof canopy, UK SOLAR ENERGY RES is involved in the development of medium to large-scale solar power plants, particularly in the North American and Mediterranean areas. We have the technical and engineering expertise and the project management capabilities needed to develop, construct and operate solar arrays connected to the grid, using either Photovoltaic Power (PV) or Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technology. SOLAR ENERGY With enough solar energy reaching the earth s surface every hour to provide the world s power needs for a year, solar power is an essential solution to the world s long term energy needs. There is huge untapped potential and, as conventional energy prices rise and solar technologies become more effective and economic to produce, it is an increasingly economic choice. RES can provide feasibility, detailed design, project management, construction, finance, ownership, asset sale or continued energy generation. We provide an extensive and tailored service for organisations looking to undertake a solar project.
BIOMASS energy A 100MW biomass power project being developed by RES in the north-east of England will provide jobs during construction and operation, and contribute to the growth of the region as a hub for renewable energy technologies.
Visualisation of completed project BIOMASS ENERGY RES is a leader in the provision of both renewable heat and electricity using sustainable biomass resources. 20 energy STORAGE Using our technical expertise we have provided wind turbine integration and SCADA services for compressed air storage in the USA.
Ohio battery storage project Battery energy storage Connecting storage facility to the transmission infrastructure ENERGY STORAGE RES are pioneers in the delivery of commercial energy storage schemes. Battery storage allows the utilisation of renewable energy to become more widespread. The increase in renewable energy within the power system creates the need to regulate the injection and removal of power by the second. Battery energy storage corrects the power imbalance more effectively than fossil fuelled thermal resources. Utilising our development, technical and engineering skills combined with those of project management and construction, RES can assist at any stage to deliver the energy storage, on time and budget. Years of experience gained from operating renewable energy projects and understanding the network requirements means we can efficiently integrate and operate your energy storage scheme. We are providing battery energy storage for fast frequency response to the regional transmission organisation for 13 states in North East USA, with a 4MW/2MWh energy storage project. Further projects under development in Canada, the United States and Europe. We have utilised our technical expertise to provide the wind turbine integration and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) programming for the world s first integrated wind / cavern based compressed air storage scheme in the USA. Enabling stored electrical energy to be delivered to the grid without natural gas, providing a carbon free way to store and dispatch wind energy. STORAGE
