1 Company Profile O Leary & Associates Training & Consultancy Ltd. (OLATC) was established in 2005 and provides a range of training and consultancy services to both the SME and Non Profit Sectors. OLATC can design, deliver, develop and manage a range of programmes to suit any individual business, and organisation needs. All our programmes can be tailored to suit the specific training needs of individual businesses and any organisations, staff, management, board and clients. We also undertake training needs analysis for clients. Through our panel of experienced and qualified associate trainers and consultants we can provide a full range of services to all our clients. Tom O Leary, the Managing Director of OLATC originally worked in the financial services sector as a mutual funds accountant with State Street Bank in Boston and BISYS Fund Services in Dublin. He changed career in 1998 and worked with Northside Partnership in Dublin as an Enterprise Development Advisor. He also worked in Kerry with Partnership Tra Li developing Social and Community Enterprises in North Kerry. He started his first business in 2002 providing consultancy services to start up businesses and to non-profit organisations developing community services. He has provided start up supports to hundreds of businesses in various sectors and has developed innovative training programmes for unemployed people looking at self employment as an option. He has secured in excess of 10m grant aid for non-profit organisations and in excess of 1m in grant aid for Start up Businesses. Over the past 14 years he has built up an understanding of the issues facing people starting businesses, their fears and their concerns. Listening to people and understanding both their personal and business situation is key to providing relevant and common sense advice. Tom O Leary holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree, is a qualified trainer and is a graduate member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland. He has also lectured in Marketing Research and Organisational Management in the Institute of Technology Tralee. 3 Consultancy and Mentoring to SMEs Tom O Leary first started working with small businesses as an Enterprise Advisor in North Side Partnership, Dublin in 1998 providing start up advice to people moving from long term unemployment to self employment. Over the past 8 years OLATC has provided mentor supports to clients of Kerry County Enterprise Board, Limerick County Enterprise Board, North & East Kerry Development Ltd and West Limerick Resources ltd. We have provided consultancy and mentoring to hundreds of businesses covering all industry sectors. We believe that budgets should be used for the delivery of the training and maximise the learning to the participant businesses and value for money for the client.
