2 TRAILER TELEMATICS VALUE-ADDED SUPPLY-CHAIN MANAGEMENT Trailer Telematics is widely used in temperature-controlled transport, dangerous goods transport, intermodal transport, rental business and high value goods transport. The information regarding the location of trailer via GPS is the basic feature of any trailer telematics system. The telematics systems can be configured and installed according to your company needs. Relevant data for the fleet management will be transmitted in real time to the data servers where the data will be stored and archived for future uses. The most prefered features in a telematics system are: Data from EBS System like overload, axle load, speed, total mileage, next service, EBS status, roll stability support etc. Door status: door open/ close activity to control and secure the cargo during the transport Truck ID Data for the information on truck-trailer combinations Temperature Monitoring Data to monitor the temperature deviations, operating mode of the cooler unit, status of the cooler unit etc. Temperature data will be stored for 18 months

TControl unit size and features may change based on your identified package preference. idem s telematics system hardware is named as TControl. The available two telematics hardware units are respectively, TControl Pos and TControl Cool. BASIC PACKAGE TO LOCATE THE TRAILER Basic package provides the essential information regarding the vehicle positioning. It enables you to control the location of your trailers in a,user-friendly web-based application that includes a user-friendly map. Door sensors also enable the fleet manager to control time, place and duration of the loading and unloading activities. Advanced package enables the system to send alarm as well if unscheduled / unexpected door activity takes place. Advanced package offers coupling status, tire pressure condition and Truck ID as an option. This package also enables you to monitor the EBS data and the driven routes with clear fleet overviews and reporting. The data will be stored for 6 months. The stored data will enable you to conduct route optimization and vehicle utilization analyses. Furthermore, different geofencing options will enable you to control driven routes and to track route deviations on time, which will help you to optimize your operating costs. Information like: total mileage, driven km s per trip, next service needed, current speed, EBS-overload, ignition status, EBS status etc. is always available in real time for the fleet manager. Integrated motion sensor assures optimal internal battery usage and alarms you in case of unauthorised trailer movement or incorrect usage of EBS like, driving without ISO/EBS cable. Intermediate package offers door sensors, tire pressure condition, coupling status, and truck recognition as an option. COOL PACKAGE EXCELL IN PERISHABLE GOOD TRANSPORT Cool package provides 100% reliable data during temperaturecontrolled transport while providing one solution for all cooler models. Temperature data is recorded and archived for 18 months which is available in a user-friendly web-based application at any time. The system monitors temperature deviations and notifies the quality manager immediately if necessary. Reefer alarms and fuel tank sensor data are part of the package. Cool package offers coupling status, tire pressure condition, Truck ID and fuel tank display as an option. Kässbohrer telematics is designed to enable data export to external systems. Kässbohrer portal is a web-based application and there is no additional software needed.
