2 Annual Business Meeting Agenda State of the Association Vote on New Board Members HR Person of the Year Award

4 Finance Committee FY2014 Did not withdraw from investments Budget Statistics for 2015 (as of 11/30/2015): 86% Actual to Budget in Income 67% Actual to Budget in Expenses Created a balanced 2016 budget Lancaster SHRM Balances (as of 11/30/2015): Checking $31, Savings $2, PayPal $2, Investments $83, Total Balance $120,565.58
5 Scholarship Committee This year we had several excellent applications for both the Leadership Lancaster and student scholarships. The winners are: Leadership Lancaster Sade Fisher, Eurofins NSC US, Inc. Students Sara Nevling, Alexa Sage and Anneli Starry
6 Communications Committee Held two photo blitzes, resulting in over 60 new member photos added to profiles in our directory Added three new members to the committee Began new media relations initiative Began investigating new technology enhancements, including a conference app, cloud storage and website upgrade including responsive design.
7 Professional Development Committee Offered 9 monthly programs certified for HRCI and SHRM credits Hosted successful Spring Conference and Fall Legal Update, both of which were certified for multiple HRCI and SHRM credits Offered 4 hours of HRCI Business credit programming Hosted LSHRM s first ever Non-Profit Fair to introduce members to new resources and opportunities
8 Professional Development Committee (Cont) Secured multiple sponsors in support of LSHRM events Highlighted local non-profit organizations at monthly meetings Launched a new Webinar series to enhance educational opportunities Revamped Study Group to include both HRCI and SHRM testing Implemented online program evaluations
9 Diversity Committee Hosted webinar for LSHRM membership for OFCCP compliance Submitted articles to HR Express and LSHRM Diversity Committee LinkedIn blog Hosted 2 hour June breakfast meeting for LSHRM membership regarding topic of diversifying recruiting pool for your workforce Partnered with Leadership Lancaster by sitting on their diversity and inclusion taskforce subcommittee where ideas were exchanged on increasing diversity and inclusion in their organization
10 Marketing Committee Coordinated 3 great networking events in new venues Partnered with York and Harrisburg once again to network across chapters Delivered $700 to deserving community organizations Lancaster Day Care, Power Packs, SHRM Foundation Opened LSHRM s first online store with great logo items for members to purchase
11 Workforce Readiness/College Relations Committee Created a mission and vision Surveyed the LSHRM membership to determine how to best serve our membership Developing relationships with the following schools: Millersville Univ., Elizabethtown College, and Consolidated School of Business Developing a list of organizations in the community that are aligned with the workforce readiness initiatives. Plan to partner with them to support workforce readiness in Lancaster County.
12 Government Affairs Committee Held 3 Brown Bag Lunches: Pay Equity, Post-Election Review, and Identity Theft in the Workplace. Currently planning for February, May, and October May add a Brown Bag when Final FLSA Regs are issued Submitted articles on federal and state law developments for HR Express and LSHRM Newsletter. The Committee continues to follow pending state and federal bills.
13 Membership Committee Current Membership: 390! The Membership Committee welcomed 94 new members in 2015 Co-sponsored Business in Ethics awards breakfast Coordinated the HR Person of the Year Award nomination and selection process Implemented new member orientations via webinar.
14 Membership Committee (cont) In conjunction with the Marketing Committee, hosted a membership drive at a networking event. Implemented a new initiative to track number of members who carry the new SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification. Formalized a process for follow up with guests to encourage their joining LSHRM.
