5 How to Earn SHRM-CP SM & SHRM-SCP SM Certifications To earn SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification, you need to: Determine your eligibility & apply for the exam. Understand the exam contents. Participate in a certification exam preparation program. Take and pass the certification exam. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet specific educational and work experience criteria at the time they submit their application, in order to be eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. The following general eligibility criteria are also applied: Applicants must show that they have worked in an HR for more than 1,000 hours within a calendar year, which equates to one year of experience. HR experience may be classified directly, as working in an HR, or indirectly, by consulting, educating or researching HR practices linked specifically to HR management. SHRM-CP EXAM SHRM-CP certification is designed for HR practitioners who are engaged primarily in an operational implementing policies, serving as the HR point of contact for staff and stakeholders, and/or performing day-to-day HR functions. SHRM-SCP EXAM SHRM-SCP certification is designed for HR professionals at a senior level who operate primarily in a strategic - developing policies and strategies, overseeing the execution of HR operations, analyzing performance metrics, and/or contributing to the alignment of HR strategies to organizational goals.

6 CONTENT OUTLINES FOR THE EXAMS The SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams are based on the SHRM BoCK TM, the one single, comprehensive testing framework giving qualified professionals the recognition and flexibility to use their knowledge, skills and competencies anywhere their career takes them. SHRM Body of Competency & Knowledge TM In 2011, SHRM began years of extensive research involving thousands of HR professionals to develop the SHRM Competency Model, which identifies 8 Behavioral Competencies and 1 Technical Competency that are the foundation of successful HR practice. 8 The contents of the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams The SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams are based on the SHRM BoCK and its two major aspects of modern HR practice: Competencies and Knowledge. Accordingly, the exams contain two types of questions: 1. Situational judgment items, which cover the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) associated with the SHRM BoCK s Behavioral Competencies. 2. Knowledge items, which cover the four Knowledge Domains (People, Organization, Workplace, and Strategy) associated with the SHRM BoCK s Technical Knowledge competency. Answers to these questions will contribute to the final score for the exams. In addition, both exams contain field test items, the answers for which will not be scored. Failure to make prior notices of exam cancellation and absence at the exam for any reason. Failure to make time arrangement for the exam within the exam window. 9 EXAM PREPARATION COURSE SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification exams are critical and challenging. To prepare examinees for their exam, PACE, the only authorized partner of SHRM in Vietnam, is offering the SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP Certification Exam Preparation Course. PACE is also the only organization in Vietnam that is authorized by SHRM to deliver these certification exam preparation and training courses. The Certification Exam Preparation Course for SHRM-CP and SHRM- SCP delivered by PACE includes 16 sessions of instructor-led learning in 3 months (together with hours of self-learning with the learning system, materials and methodology provided by PACE), organized into 5 modules reflecting the following 5 subject areas of the exam: 1. Special rate: US$2,050 (only applied for the payment received before February 04, 2016). The tuition fee also includes the latest version of SHRM Learning System edition, in which, there have: 05 printed books on 08 behavioral competencies and 01 technical competency required for an HR professionals with global standards; The comprehensive system self-paced learning materials and sample exam questions; Planning tools to help participants be well-prepared for the certification exam; An enormous HR library that would be continuously updated. Participants are granted access to use these resources when completing registration and payment process.
