Summary 1.1 Service Description This offering is provided by IBM Global Technology, Infrastructure Technology Services, and provides IT Facilities Assessment, Design and Construction Services for Government Customers who need to retain their own Data Centre Facility as part of their own Cloud Strategy. This offering is designed to help an organization assess the way in which they provision Data centre space and power to their IT Infrastructure, identify a strategy for optimizing that provisioning and implement the strategy. Strategy may include optimizing the existing Data Centres (e.g. improving air flow / efficiency, modernizing layout, cable positioning, power upgrades) and the Design and Build of a new Data Centre or an extension to an existing facility. 1.2 Service Characteristics Lot Applicability Contract Duration Contract Price Lead time to start Related Lot(s) /Offering(s) Specialist Cloud Services Any medium-large public sector body that wishes to optimise their Data Centre Facilities to expand, increase density or reduce costs while ensuring that they continue to deliver value to the organisation Flexible to be agreed in the Call-Off Order Variable based on time and materials depending on agreeing, with the Contracting Authority, the resources required for the Call-Off Order, based on the IBM SFIA rate table. This modular approach means that you align your capacity to the business need optimising your Power Utilisation Efficiency (PUE) rating and minimising capital and operational expense. IBM has designed and built over 1000 modular data centres in the last 4 years providing flexibility for the future, including cloud computing. IBM offers both Data centre and Racking solutions to meet the needs of your business. The skills and standards we use are those developed by IBM for their own installations and are designed for resilient and flexible Computer Operations. Delivery 2.1 Context Despite the move towards Public Cloud Services, virtualized technology and infrastructure rationalization there is still a need for many organizations to retain their own IT Data Centre. However many Data Centres are no longer fit for purpose for many reasons including building construction, age of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) equipment, poor design, or just not adaptable to modern IT equipment standards and requirements. Such organisations need to review their current capabilities, assess how they are provisioned and identify a strategy and roadmap to meet current business and IT needs. 2.2 What we will deliver IBM will work with you to understand the business requirements that you intend to meet using your own Data Centre and to assess the current state of your Data Centre to establish whether your facility is fit for purpose and / or can be improved in any way. IBM will begin with an initial meeting / workshop to understand your current Data Centre strategy and usage, then continue by conducting a site survey which will cover the following key areas: - Overall Condition of Facility Room Environment Air Conditioning General Power Rack Power UPS Information Infrastructure Cabling Infrastructure Inventory Safety Security IBM will provide a report which summarises all findings from the site surveys and makes recommendations for the facilities in general. 4

5 Additional Charge Services In addition to the initial assessment described above, IBM can offer follow on consultancy services to implement our recommendations, design new Data Centres and to optimise existing facilities. 2.3 Commercials This will be a Time and Materials contract; however, following the first phase of the work, there could be the opportunity to discuss the conversion of the initial quote into either a Fixed Price or Time and Materials based contract in order to provide increased flexibility for the customer. Unless agreed otherwise agreed, the IT Strategy and Architecture category of the IBM SFIA rate table will be used for pricing the work. Follow on work will be under the appropriate category(ies) of the IBM SFIA rate table. The scope of work will be set out in the Call Off Order Form and agreed by both parties. Follow on services to enable you to complete implementation of related services can be provided by IBM for an additional charge. Details will be agreed in the Call-Off Order and priced using the IBM SFIA rate card. 2.4 Key Points The key assumptions relating to this offering are as follows: - This offering is subject to availability of IBM resources. The pricing and terms for individual call-off orders will be handled as commercially sensitive by the Contracting Body. Where work is of a sensitive and secure nature, security standards will be agreed between IBM and the Contracting Body, and if necessary IBM will ask the Contracting Body to issue a Security Aspects letter. IBM's Services are offered on the basis of that the material provided by you is no higher than Business Impact Level 0 in accordance with HMG Security Guidelines. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any material you or your 5

The work is subject to the terms and conditions of the IBM Customer Agreement, which are attached separately to this catalogue item. Prices assume that there is no Collaboration Agreement in place. Should you require a Collaboration Agreement all the parties involved in such an agreement will determine the impact on the service, scope of work and charges. No Call-off Order will be placed until all these elements have been agreed by the appropriate parties 6
