A review of this technicl pproch over the pst yer chnged the strtegy to more economicl option of focusing on improving nd enhncing the cpcity of the existing helth dt exchnge systems. The originl iehr strtegy included requirement for cquiring new informtion technology hrdwre/equipment for dt interoperbility, which is no longer required under the revised strtegy. The White House Communictions Agency hs been tsked to provide expnded mission services to the PCI. If not funded, PCI opertions will be severely degrded. This is bse budget requirement. One of the ERI progrms is the Leverge Stte Prtnership Progrm Reltionships to Boost Civil-Militry response options. The $1.2 million in funding will support the effort to build prtner cpcity through exchnges nd interctions between USEUCOM Prtner Ntion (PN) nd designted U.S. Stte prtner. The reltionship nd exchnge will build on the lredy estblished Country Coopertion Pln. This is n OCO budget requirement. The SOCNORTH is designted by CDRUSNORTHCOM to commnd nd control (C2) specil opertions forces (SOF) in support of Homelnd Defense, Civil Support nd Security Coopertion. A newly renovted opertion support fcility is redy for SOCNORTH to occupy but without the proper A/V systems, SOCNORTH's bility to commnd nd control SOF will be severely degrded. The totl cost of the equipment is $1.988 million. This is new strt. This is bse budget requirement.
