GRAD BASH Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure $110 before December 19th OR $125 by February 28 th Grad Bash, Friday, April 24 th is a special party at Universal s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios for graduating high school seniors. The park, which is closed to the general public for this event, begins at 7 pm and continues until 2 am. During this time, everyone has unlimited use of many of the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios attractions. All students attending Grad Bash must arrive by bus which will be provided by PSLHS. Under no circumstances can a student drive to Grad Bash. Once a school enters Grad Bash, students and chaperones must remain in the Universal Parks until transportation out of the park resumes at 2:00 am. Since Grad Bash is such a special event for seniors, Universal requires the students to dress accordingly. Universal provides us with a dress code brochure which outlines approved attire. A good rule of thumb: if there is a question about whether or not an outfit would be acceptable choose another outfit. Individuals violating the dress code will not be allowed on the bus to leave PSLHS. Payment for grade bash will not be accepted until graduation package payment has been received. (Cap, Gown, Etc..)
5 Grad Bash cont d No Refunds Will Be Given For the Following: 1. After the deadline for payment to reserve a ticket for Grad Bash, February 28, For seniors who miss the bus on April 24, 2015 to leave for Orlando. 3. For seniors who are not allowed on the bus because of DRESS CODE violations. 4. Seniors who are not allowed on the bus for lack of NOTARIZE PERMISSIONFORM. Alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes are NEVER permitted in Universal and Grad Bash is no exception. All guests will be searched to prevent these substances from entering the Universal parks. Students under the influence of drugs or alcohol during Grad Bash will be brought to Security or First Aid. A chaperone will be notified and will be responsible for that student for the rest of the evening. Projected ticket price for Grad Bash is $110 or $125 after 12/19/2015. Make money orders payable to PSLHS Senior class. The deadline for payment to Grad Bash is February 28 th. Payments can be made in one lump sum or in installments but they Must Be Paid in Full by February 28 th. No refunds will be given after this date! NOTARIZED PERMISSION FORMS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE TURNED IN WITH YOUR FINAL PAYMENT FOR GRAD BASH. You can get this form from MAJ Thompson or 1SG Pollino and it must be notarized. We will be leaving the PSLHS parking lot at 2:30pm on April 24, DO NOT BE LATE!!! The buses will leave on time. We will be returning the PSLHS campus at around 5:30am. On April 25, Please have transportation ready to pick you up Sunday morning when we return to PSLHS at 5:30am! Travel to Grad Bash will be by charter bus. Students will sign up to ride on a specific bus when you purchase a ticket. You may not sign anyone else s name to the bus list. The senior sponsors reserve the right to assign any student to a specific bus based on transportation issues. Remember: You must be a senior in accordance with the attendance policy (no more than 10 absences), you must have paid your Senior Fees, you CANNOT be on the obligation list, and you must have an acceptable discipline record to be allowed to attend Grad Bash. Grad Package Graduation package includes Cap, Gown, Stole, Medallion, Tassel, Diploma and Diploma cover. Grad Packages are $80 before December 19 th and $90 after that. There will be a representative on campus to take orders throughout the year. You will also be able to order and pay for them online at: Caps and Gowns are your first priority. Any points or funds raised will be applied to this obligation first. Then, you will be allowed to use your points/funds towards Senior Week or Grad Bash. Graduation Announcements Graduation Announcements Presentation-Jostens will be at PSLH on September 10th for a presentation of the Class of 2015 Graduation Announcements and other graduation memorabilia. Representatives from Jostens will be returning to PSLH during the week at lunch times for seniors to place orders for these items. The announcement order will need to be paid when you place your order. The amount of the required deposit will be given to you in the meeting with Jostens. You cannot pay by check. You can pay in person by cash or money order or on-line with credit/debit card. Announcements may be purchased at other locations in our area, but they will not look the same as the official announcement designed by your class representatives. ** Do not miss this opportunity to order all of the items you may need to celebrate your graduation!** Cost of announcements varies dependent upon the items you choose to purchase and the quantity
6 Picking up your Cap and Gown for Graduation Your cap and gown will be distributed the week preceding Graduation. Pickup will be by assigned appointment times. The specific date for pick-up of caps and gowns will be announced closer to the actual graduation date. If for some reason you cannot pick up your gown yourself, you must make advanced arrangements with MAJ Thompson or 1SG Pollino. The graduation stoles will also be distributed at this time. Honors tassels, High honors cords, are provided by the school for those who are eligible and will be distributed prior to graduation. Activity cords are available for $10 and can be purchased from your activity sponsor or coach. All seniors will receive a specific number of tickets to the graduation ceremony. The number of tickets will be determined by the County Graduation Committee. Due to the planned seating arrangement for graduation and because of traffic and security considerations, there is a seating capacity for the graduation ceremony that will be enforced by the St. Lucie County School Board. It is currently projected that each PSLHS senior will receive EIGHT tickets. During the Spring Semester, you will fill out and turn in a form requesting the exact number of tickets you will need for graduation. If everyone wants eight or more tickets, then all you will be given are the eight tickets. However, if some seniors request less than eight tickets, then their extra tickets will be distributed evenly among those seniors requesting more tickets. Before your Grade Package can be issued to you, all obligations Senior Fees, books, athletics, activity monies, etc must be cleared. It is not wise to wait until the last minute to take care of these important matters. Required dress code for graduation. Required dress code for graduation Ladies: Solid colored dresses or skirts/blouses so that the colors don t show through the gown. Do not let your dress show below the hem of your gown. Dress shoes should be black. Thong type shoes (any type of flip flop is not allowed) This is a safety issue for your protection as you are going up and down the stairs of a stage. Please keep your heels short (under three inches). No boots. If stockings are worn, they should be flesh colored. Gentlemen: Black dress slacks and a dress shirt must be worn. You must wear black shoes with dark colored socks. No tennis shoes or sandals or boots may be worn.
