2 Why are you interested in attending CSU Camp this year? What are your professional goals? Have you taken a forensics course before? Where at? CSU Camp begins PROMPTLY at 9:00 A.M. Monday, June 16th through noon, Friday, June 20 st. During this time each student will complete classroom lectures, participate in hands on crime scene investigation; work in small groups and individually. Lunch will be provided in the Cafeteria at CSU. No one will be allowed to leave the direct supervision of the Camp Staff at any time. Cell phones must be turned off during Class and Practical Exercises that means NO PHONE CALLS or TEXTING. You will be given 10 minute breaks and lunch to deal with personal calls. Any camp participant who cannot abide by the student rules will not be allowed to return the next day. 3 deposit is nonrefundable and the balance of $75 (for a total of $150) is due no later than June 9 th. If I fail to make the final payment by June 9 th, my place in CSI@CSU Camp will be assigned to the next individual on the waiting list. There are no exceptions. 4 CSU Camp June 16 th 20 st, 2014 Participant Rules 1. CSI Campers must arrive on the campus of Charleston Southern University between 8:45 and 9:00 each morning. The camp will operate Monday, June 16 th through Friday, Noon, June 20 st. Campers will report to the Science Building Room CSI Campers must be picked up promptly after class is dismissed at 3:00 P.M. each day. 3. Camp participants will not leave the direct supervision of the CSI staff. The schedule is: 8:45 A.M. Check in 9:00 class begins 9:50 break 10 minutes 10:00 class begins 10:50 break 10 minutes 11:00 class begins 12:00 Noon -12:45 P.M. lunch in the Cafeteria 1:00 P.M. class begins 1:50 break 10 minutes 2:00 class begins 2:45 P.M. Review / Instructions for next day 3:00 P.M. Class ends 4. CSI Campers will receive a nametag that will clearly identify you as a CSI camp participant. Name tags must be worn the entire day. If you do not have your nametag, you will not be able to eat lunch. 5. Campers are under the direct supervision of CSI Professors and staff from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. 6. NO CELLPHONES will be allowed during CSI Camp. No TEXTING or phone calls are permitted. Campers will have 10 minute breaks if they need to

5 confirm a ride for the afternoon. Cell phones must remain turned OFF and in backpacks throughout the class and activity sessions. 7. Campers agree to allow photographs to be taken of them throughout the training events that may be used by local media outlets or appear on the CSU webpage. 8. CSI Camp participants must remain with the class at all times. Regular summer classes will be in session on campus and must not be disturbed. 9. Failure to follow any of these rules will result in immediate dismissal from the CSI Camp. Parents/Guardians will be contacted to pick up any student that is found in violation of any of the rules. As this is a five-day event, there is no appeal process, and the decision of the Camp Director is final. No refund of camp fees will be available.
