24 DESCRIPTION Virtual Telephone Numbers (VTNs) allow customers to utilize telephone numbers* (new or existing) from areas other than where the Dynamic IP service is physically installed. BENEFITS & APPLICATIONS Three distinct types of Virtual Telephone Numbers are available to meet customer application needs: 1.) Phone System Centralization VTNs: provide inbound and outbound local calling from remote markets to allow customers the ability to route all calls through a centralized phone system supporting multiple office locations. Phone System Centralization VTNs also provide e911 capabilities to the remote offices eliminating the need for separate telephone lines to support 911 calls. No long distance charges apply for inbound calls or for outbound calls within the local calling area of the VTN. 2.) Market Expansion VTNs: provides inbound and outbound local calling from remote markets allowing customers to advertise a local presence and a local telephone number even though no physical office location exists within the remote market. No long distance charges apply for inbound calls or for outbound calls within the local calling area of the VTN. 3.) Office Relocation VTNs: allows customers to retain their existing telephone numbers when relocating outside their existing rate center, but within their existing local calling area. No long distance charges apply for inbound calls or for outbound calls within the local calling area of the VTN.
