8 Copy Package for your Area 1. Select the zip file that pertains to your area. The areas are based on the old area structure which separates the areas into four instead of the three sections. If you are not sure which area your school is a part of, please access the following link for a map of the county in the old area structure Copy the selected package to your desktop or usb device for installation on more than one workstation. Unzip Package 1. Double-click the package you copied to unzip the installer. 2. The package should be available in the same location as the zip file once it is unzipped. 10 Add Computers to Apple Remote Desktop Adding computers to your Apple Remote Desktop list. Open Apple Remote Desktop 1. Open your Applications folder 2. Double-click "Remote Desktop" Installing TestNav Mac with Apple Remote Desktop - 10

12 Add Computers to List 1. Select the computers you want to install TestNav on that were found in the scanner 2. Click "File" in the top menu 3. Click "New List from Selection" Installing TestNav Mac with Apple Remote Desktop - 12

13 Authenticate with Administrator When adding computers to a list, Apple Remote Desktop will challenge you for a username and password of an administrator on the computer. 1. 14 Check New List Verify that the computers you need are in the new list you just created. If they are all not there then repeat the previous step, "Add Computer to List". Installing TestNav Mac with Apple Remote Desktop - 14

15 Install Package to Computers Installing TestNav package to computers in your list. Install Packages Select the computers that need the TestNav package 2. Click "Manage" in the top menu 3. Select "Install Packages..." Installing TestNav Mac with Apple Remote Desktop - 15

16 1. Drag the TestNav package into the Packages list 2. Select the "Attempt restart, allow users to save documents" radio button 3. Click "Install" NOTE: Because you selected "Attempt restart, allow users to save documents", Apple Remote Desktop will restart the computers after the package install is completed. 18 Open TestNav and Select Correct Address Testing whether or not TestNav is working and is able to connect to the proctor cache located at ETS. Open TestNav Click the TestNav icon in your dock. 21 Logging In and Possible Issues Accessing the login screen and possible issues. Login Screen This is how the login screen should look if you have successfully changed the address for testing. 1. During testing this is where the student will enter their student number. 2. This will be the session test code generated in Pearson Access. 22 Error Messages Errors on the Apple client will show up like this. If you run into an issue like this please check your network connecting and reinstall the package. Problems you will see are usually due to network connectivity. It is extremely important for you to check that the computer having an issue is able to connect to the internet.
