Avoid Missing Important Calls 1# Telstra Feature Assistant There s no need to remember special codes to turn some phone features on or off; just dial and tell your phone what to do. The 1# Telstra Feature Assistant gives you the ability to: turn Call Waiting and Call Forward features on and off and check their status store frequently forwarded numbers under the categories of Home, Work, Mobile or Other. When you use this feature, the next time you want to forward to a particular number, dial and say, for example, Turn on Call Forward to Mobile listen to information and instructions about our HomeLine Features. 1# Telstra Feature Assistant is voice activated to make it easier for you to use our HomeLine Features. The 1# Telstra Feature Assistant is available to our basic access/local call customers with tone phones in most areas of Australia. Using the 1# Telstra Feature Assistant is easy Step 1 dial from a Telstra fixed phone OR if you have our T1000S or T1000C rental phone, you can press the Telstra Voice Assistant button (which connects you to the 1# Telstra Feature Assistant service). Step 2 When connected you will hear: Hi, I m your Telstra Feature Assistant. What would you like to do today? At any point, you can interrupt the 1# Telstra Feature Assistant and make your request. You can say, Call Waiting, Call Forward, Phone Features or User Tips. If you are unsure, the 1# Telstra Feature Assistant will offer you options to select from. You can either listen to the prompts and respond at each step or, once you are familiar with the system, you can interrupt it and make your request. To store frequently forwarded numbers, simply dial say Stored Numbers and follow the instructions. It s that easy!!! There is no charge to access the 1# Telstra Feature Assistant. Call Forward Immediate is the default setting of the 1# Telstra Feature Assistant. Avoid Missing Important Calls Call Return Call Return is available on tone phones in most areas of Australia and lets you find out the number of your last unanswered call (except for blocked numbers). Call Return is especially useful when you ve reached the phone just after it has stopped ringing just use Call Return to retrieve the number and then, if you wish, you can call the number back. Call Forward Busy When your phone is busy, calls can be forwarded to most numbers in Australia. Avoid Missing Important Calls Telstra Home Messages 101 Access to this service is free and it s easy to use and available right now with most home tone phones if you re a Telstra local call customer. Telstra Home Messages 101 includes a standard greeting to answer incoming calls and will take messages for you when you re out and about, on the phone or on the Internet. And remember, there are absolutely no access or usage charges. To turn Telstra Home Messages 101 on or to retrieve messages from your home phone: Follow the Prompts You can tell you have a message when you hear a special dial tone when you pick up the phone. Important Your phone will ring for approximately 20 seconds before Telstra Home Messages 101 takes the call. To change the length of time before it answers: TIME IN SECONDS Time in seconds must be between 05 and 60. MessageBank When you can t take a call, MessageBank is the easy way to answer. Unlike Telstra Home Messages 101, this personalised answering service allows your callers to hear your personal greeting and asks them to leave a message, which you can retrieve from almost anywhere. You can tell you have a message when you hear a special dial tone when you pick up your phone. Alternatively, if your phone has Flashing Message Indicator, you can see when you have a message waiting for you. Just ask for this feature to be turned on when you request MessageBank from Telstra. Note, the T1000C rental phone has the Flashing Message Indicator. Call Wait Call Back Ever wasted time constantly calling a busy line? With Call Back you can have your call completed when the phone number you are calling becomes free. To arrange a call for Call Back Your phone will ring to let you know if the phone number you tried to call becomes available, and redial the number for you. To cancel Call Back Touchfone 400 or T1000S/T1000C Phone If you have a Touchfone 400 or T1000S/T1000C phone with feature buttons: To arrange a call for Call Back Touchfone 400: T1000S/T1000C: To cancel Call Back Touchfone 400: T1000S/T1000C: To find out if you have a Call Back arranged The busy destination will be monitored for 45 minutes. Who s Calling? Smart Ring With Smart Ring you can identify who is calling before you answer by creating Smart Ring Lists. You can allocate up to three different ring sounds (in addition to your standard one) and up to 15 different people per ring sound. For example, you might allocate one ring sound to your friends, one to your relatives and one to your work colleagues. If the incoming call is not in one of your Smart Ring Lists, you will hear your standard ring sound. To connect this service call us on 13 2200. Calling Number Display See the number of the person who is calling With Calling Number Display you can identify the number of the person who is calling you (unless the caller s number has been blocked). You can see the caller s telephone number ( private appears if blocked). You can screen your calls by identifying the number of the person calling you, even before you answer the phone. Calling Number Display requires a special Calling Number Display telephone or stand alone attachment that incorporates a display screen. To connect Calling Number Display call us on 13 2200. With Calling Number Display, you can see the telephone numbers of your callers unless the number is blocked. When a call comes in, simply look at your display screen. You can choose to answer the call immediately or, if you re busy or unsure of the number, you can choose to store the number and return the call later. Storing or logging of a limited number of calls (Call Record) is a standard feature of most display telephone equipment and is available to you as part of the service. You can get the: date and time for each call details on each call including answered, unanswered or missed calls ability to return calls to numbers on the display. Calling Number Display See the number of the person who is calling Multiple Number Call Waiting Display Some display telephones, such as the T1000C Calling Number Display Rental Phone, have Call Waiting Display. Call Waiting Display allows you to see the number of the person who is trying to call whilst you are already on the phone, unless the number is blocked. Line Blocking Line Blocking blocks your number from being sent when you make calls. Silent numbers automatically have line blocking. Customers without silent numbers can also get line blocking if needed. If you have Line Blocking you can choose to display your number for a particular call. Simply dial 1832 on the front of that call. Call Blocking If you do not have Line Blocking, you can choose to block your number on a call by call basis, so that your phone number remains private. Simply dial 1831 on the front of the call. Multiple Number allows you to have a second phone number assigned to your existing phone line*. The second number has its own distinct ringing sound. For example, you could have one phone number as your business number and another as a private number. To connect this service call Telstra on 13 2200. Fast Dialling Delayed Hotline Delayed Hotline allows you to call a particular phone number without dialling. You just pick up the phone, wait four seconds, and the number is dialled automatically. To turn Delayed Hotline on HOTLINE NUMBER To turn Delayed Hotline off To check if Delayed Hotline is on or off Hint Try using Delayed Hotline with your MessageBank service. You will not have to keep dialling your mailbox access number! Or, if you need to contact a particular person regularly, program in their number and you can just pick up the phone and Delayed Hotline will call that number for you. Delayed Hotline overrides Call Control, i.e. Call Control applies when storing the destination, but not when using Delayed Hotline. 000 cannot be stored as a Hotline number. Abbreviated Dialling With Abbreviated Dialling, you can choose to store up to 8, 40 or 60 of your most frequently used telephone numbers and call these numbers by using a one or two digit code. These telephone numbers can include national and international long distance numbers. Abbreviated Dialling 8 Number Memory Eight stored numbers can be retrieved by pressing one single digit code you can store your frequently dialled telephone numbers from 2 through to 9.
