Accessing UniSIM MyMail For Students and Associates Via Microsoft Office 365
Disclaimer This guide is a generic guide of accessing UniSIM MyMail for Students and Associates via Microsoft Office 365. UniSIM will not be held liable for any damages to your devices, and/or any data loss resulting from the direct or indirect installation on the usage of this guide. Requirements Before you begin : 1) A Student or Associate MyMail Login username and password. Your username is the login name that you use to login to your Student or Associate Portal. If you forgot your password, ask for a password reset with MyMail Support (mymailsupport@unisim.edu.sg)
1 Proceed to http://www.unisim.edu.sg. Click on the drop down menu provided at the top of the screen. Select MyMail. Please ensure that your internet browser pop-up blocker is disabled or has exception granted to UniSIM website. 2 Click on I Agree.
3 Key in your username and password (same login credentials as Student or Associate Portal).
4 Below screen will appear with a link (http://outlook.com/owa/unisim.onmicrosoft.com) to Microsoft Office 365 5 Click on the link and it will redirect to the below page Key in username. Username will be your full MyMail email address (eg. johndoe001@unisim.edu.sg) Press Tab button on your keyboard, or click on Sign In button.
6 You will be redirected again and get either 1 of the 2 screens below depending on the internet browser. Using Internet Explorer, you will get a pop-up screen. Using Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari, you will be redirected to the below SIM University Login Landing Page Key in your username with full MyMail email address (eg. johndoe001@unisim.edu.sg) Key in your password for MyMail (same as your Student / Associate Portal)
7 Upon successful login, you will be prompted to set your language and time-zone. After selecting the language and time-zone, click Save
8 Upon successful login, you will be redirected to the below screen. Click on Mail to access your MyMail Inbox Click on Calendar to access your MyMail Calendar Click on People to access your MyMail Contacts Click on OneDrive to access the Storage Space allocated to you for your files that are saved online with Microsoft Cloud Services (documents are Private and Confidential unless shared with people) Click on Tasks to access the Tasks area in your MyMail Click on Delve to explore your OneDrive files. Clicking on Word Online, Excel Online, Powerpoint Online, OneNote Online to use the Microsoft Office applications Online. These applications will show up on your web browsers. Working documents are automatically saved into your OneDrive. Clicking on icon at the top left screen will show you the available Microsoft Office Online applications available for your usage. Note : 1 st initial login to OneDrive and Microsoft Office Online products will take about 5 to 10 minutes due to profile creation on Microsoft Servers.
9 For setting up MyMail on Apple or Android Devices, please refer to below steps. Set up email on Apple iphone, ipad, and ipod Touch with Office 365 1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts > Add account > Email. 2. In the Add Account page, tap Exchange. 3. Enter your full email address, for example johndoe001@unisim.edu.sg, and your password, and then tap Next. If the device can't find your settings, you need to add them. If you have an Office 365 Exchange email account in Server, enter outlook.office365.com, and then add your Username and Password. Username : MyMail Email Address (eg. johndoe001@unisim.edu.sg) 4. By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized. Tap Save. 5. If you're prompted to create a passcode, tap Continue and type a numeric passcode. If you're prompted and don't set up a passcode, you can't view this account on your device. You can also set up a passcode later in your settings. Note If you get a time-out message, your password or other information might be incorrect. Retype the information, and then try again. Note You might need to need to wait ten to fifteen minutes after you set up your account before you can send or receive email. Set up email on an Android device with Office 365 1. Tap Settings > Accounts > Add account > Email. 2. Type your full email address, for example tony@contoso.com, and your password, and then select Next. 3. Select Exchange. 4. If prompted, accept the defaults on the Exchange server settings page, and select Next. If your device can't connect, enter the following account information, and then select Next. o Domain\Username Type your full email address in this box, for example, johndoe001@unisim.edu.sg. If Domain and Username are separate text boxes in your version of Android, leave the Domain box empty and type your full email address in the Username box. o Password Use the password that you use to access your account. o Exchange Server Use the address of your Exchange server. The server for Office 365 is outlook.office365.com. 5. As soon as your phone verifies the server settings, the Account Options page displays. Select the options for how you want to receive your mail, and then select Next. 6. If you see an Activate device administrator? page, select Activate. 7. Type a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send e-mail to others. 8. Select Done to complete the email setup and start using your account. Note You may need to wait ten-to-fifteen minutes after you set up your account before you can send or receive e-mail.
