VASD ipad Rollout Verona Area School District - 2015-2016
Board Decision Preparing all students to succeed in today s increasingly global economy and complex world requires a shift from a teacher-centric culture to learner-centered instruction.
Board Approved 1:1 ipad Initiative In the Spring of 2015, the School Board approved a 1:1 ipad initiative. Over the next two years, the district will work towards 1:1 ipad initiative. This current year, over half of all students K-12 will receive ipads.
Mobility By going to a 1 to 1 device with our students, we will be more able to fully implement personalized learning. Students will be able to work on their projects anywhere, and at any time. With each student having their own device, they will be able to work across the curriculums, creating multi-disciplinary projects.
Training for our Staff Each staff member was required to take our ipad Essentials course. In addition, we had a variety of other courses this summer for them.
