Job Management ding to schedule erate on user-friendly GUI screens for automatic job operation, itoring and result management. Combined with various optional products, ety of jobs can be achieved. Need to easily define jobs for automation. JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 Jobnet definitions Define the ordering relationship of a number of jobs as a jobnet, just like drawing a flowchart on the screen. You can even define jobs and jobnets to run only when a preceding job terminates abnormally. Job definitions You can define which servers are to execute jobs, and what kind of files can be executed (e.g. exe files, bat files, and command/script files). You can also set thresholds for normal, warning, and abnormal, to determine the state of completed jobs. Always normal end Always abnormal end Warning threshold Abnormal threshold Success if file exists Success if file updated Job definition screen Jobnet definition screen Need to flexibly automate jobs. JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 Sample automatic event-triggered action An e-mail message received File created, updated, etc System generated events Application program generated event Events automatically triggers execution of business process Send an e-mail message Create, update files Execute jobs Planned execution Automatic job execution can be scheduled according to the designated time and date of a jobnet and execution cycle, etc. If the execution date of a jobnet falls on a non-business day, the jobnet is automatically executed on the next business day. Fixed execution Part of the schedule for a certain period registered in planned execution can be changed temporarily. Conditional schedules Calculating a date that acts as a base day from a calendar or schedule rules, you can specify a scheduled execution date as days (business days) forward or back from the base day. Planned changeovers of root jobnets Automatically switch out root jobnets at a specified date and time, and run jobs according to the new schedule. Exclusive schedules You can also specify jobnets that you do not wish to run on the same day. Immediate execution You can override predefined job schedules when urgent execution is required. Event execution Send e-mail or execute jobs automatically (including commands and batch files) when files were created or updated, an e-mail was received, or there was a system or application event. Distributed execution You can set up jobs and run them on multiple servers (the manager and agents). Rerun You can rerun failed jobs or jobnets from any point. There is a wide range of re-run patterns to choose from (starting with failed jobs, before/after failed jobs, from the beginning, etc.) 4

Job Management Need to visually monitor the status of job execution. JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 Delay monitoring You can monitor whether a given job started or completed on schedule, during a set time period. Checking results You can visually monitor the running state of entire jobs at a glance. Colour codes in a monitor window indicate the state of running jobs. You can call up a display of past and present jobnet schedules for instant confirmation. You can identify any jobnets subject to a delay in execution or termination. Jobnet monitoring screen Integrated monitoring on a per-job basis Centrally monitor multiple jobs on a distributed server, from a single screen. Monitor on a per-job as well as per-server basis, to quickly find out the status of any job. You can also set jobs to be monitored on a per-user basis. This allows system administrator to monitor all jobs or accounting personnel to monitor only accounting management jobs. Plan-to-result management screen 5

Automation Job Management IT Compliance Desktop Management Monitoring Availability Management Integrated Management Job batch definition option Need to add or change a large number of jobs efficiently. JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 - Definition Assistant Job batch definition according to a template This option provides a job definition information management template, which is useful for creating, changing or deleting a large number of jobs in one batch. By entering and editing definition details according to the template items and importing this template, you can create or change a large number of jobs in a batch, thus reducing the number of steps necessary for development or operation. This option is also useful for server migration and version upgrade. Batch entry of existing definition information You can easily import existing job definition information into a template by command execution. Jobnet definition screen Importing definition information Exporting definition information Creating a jobnet using a definition information management template Web browser operation option Need to monitor and operate all jobs on distributed servers through a web browser. JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 - Web Operation Assistant Job execution information listing Since you can display job execution status as a list using a web browser, job execution status can be easily viewed and monitored. Job execution instruction Using a web browser, you can perform operations such as canceling job registration, halting execution, and releasing hold status. Filtering A filtering facility is also provided, you can selectively display search results by specifying execution status or job name as the search key. You can also search for jobs containing a given character string and display them on the screen. Web browser operation 6

Automation Job Management IT Compliance Desktop Management Monitoring Availability Management Integrated Management ERP interaction option Need to automatically operate all systems, including ERP applications, as a single system image. JP1/Automatic Job Management System 2 for Enterprise Applications job definition Define jobs as a part of over all job management. Utilising a wide variety of schedule and execution options provided by the job scheduler, the entire ERP system can be operated efficiently with a single system image. In addition, interaction with the BW systems enables info packages to be controlled for loading data to the BW system in the same way the jobs are processed, expanding the range of ERP job operation. You can monitor the transfer status and results achieves highly reliable file transfer. Need more reliable file transfer for improved efficiency. JP1/File Transmission Server/FTP Control data transfers with transmission cards The ability to register transmission cards with the information you wish to transfer allows you to transfer files without knowing the commands. Previously registered transmission cards can be edited, allowing you to modify existing cards. for you to discover corrupt files resulting from successful file transfers, which are normally very difficult to notice. * Only available for file transfers between JP1/FTP servers and clients. Automatic program launch after transfer completion Automatically launch programs after a file transfer has been received. File transfer API/commands Send and receive files from user programs, or send and receive files from the command line. File transfer history management You can easily confirm the results of file transfers, facilitating management of transfer history. This also enables faster troubleshooting. Register card Automatically verify file sizes during transfer Both the sender and receiver can automatically verify the size of transferred files. The ability to check file sizes before and after transfer and generate an error message if the sizes are different, makes it easy. Log information 8

Implementing a sophisticated job execution environment using a common language for and UNIX Job Control Script IT Compliance Desktop Management Automation Job Management Batch jobs created in the environment using a script language can be executed on both and UNIX systems. Commands similar to "Basic" on a PC are available, which greatly increases productivity when creating complex batch jobs. Monitoring Availability Management Integrated Management Need to implement a sophisticated batch job execution environment. JP1/Script Scripting language and definitions Provides an execution environment and over 130 different commands, including if sentence, while sentence, and DeleteFile command. Obtain the results of program execution. The ability to determine which action to execute next allows you to flexibly link processes, including automatically switching programs.
