6. After your PC restarted, double click the Blue Icon with Red Cross which is on the left bottom of your desktop. If you can not see any icon, you can go to Start- All Programs- Netscreen-Remote Netscreen-Remote. Then you will see the screen below: 7. Click File Import Security Policy:

8. It will pop up a box to ask you where your import file is, and then choose the file in the CDROM called policy.spd. 9. Click Yes to import it. 10. Then you can see the successful message pops up. 11. Now the VPN software has been installed to your Home PC. Note: DO NOT change any settings on the VPN software. Click Connect- My connection QPCS. 3. Depends on your own broadband speed, after few minutes, the screen will pop up a box, says user name and password. What you need to do is enter your username and password which you use to logon school system. But remember it is case sensitive, that means your first name initial will be a capital. For example: Chris Shih, so user name will be Cshih

4. After you typing the correct information, you will be successful connected to our school network. Note: the small yellow key on the blue icon means you are a verified user. 5. Now you have two methods to login to system, you can use either of them: A. Please go to our website:www.qpcs.brent.sch.uk 6. Then Please click Staff Login on the left side of screen, then you will see:

Now please type 10.24.132.50 to the server box, when you see this box comes up, please click yes. After few seconds, you will see a login box, just login as yourself as school user name and password, don t forget to select QUEENSPARK domain, NOT VPN this computer B: Click Start then clicks All Programs --- Accessories Then go to Communications, Click Remote Desktop Connection. After few seconds, you will see a login box, just login as yourself as school user name and password, don t forget to select QUEENSPARK domain, NOT VPN this computer PLEASE REMEMBER YOU MUST LOGOFF AFTER USING THAT VPN server and click disconnect QPCS connection from VPN Software.

7. You also can deactivate VPN, when you don t want to use it. Just right lick the blue icon, then click deactivate security policy, the icon when turn to a red cross, which means you log off from VPN. 8. Please remember DO NOT copy any big videos, music or power point files from school network when you are using VPN, it will cause too many network traffics and slow down the other users. The speed of VPN is variable, according to your broadband from local ISP (Telewest, BT, NTL..). 9. Please make sure you have responsibly to secure our school network. So DO NOT tell your password or modify or copy any important VPN configure file to anyone. Note: your remote access procedure maybe monitored or recorded for secure purpose.
