It is specifically designed t prvide the students with the required skills and knwledge fr successful emplyment in the Culinary Arts Industry. Due t the large number f applicants and the limited number f penings available, James Rumsey Technical Institute has implemented a multi-stepped applicatin prcess. This prcess is t help assist the student and crdinatr t assess the applicant s genuineness and willingness t be a successful candidate fr this highly cmpetitive prgram. Applicatin Prcess: 1. Cmplete Applicatin Fr Admissin and submit required dcumentatin. Students accepted int the prgram will be expected t pay the required $50.00 nnrefundable applicatin fee within seven (7) days f ntificatin f acceptance. Failure t remit payment within that time frame will result in lss f a slt in the prgram. 2. Upn submissin f the Applicatin Fr Admissin, the student will be eligible t schedule an interview with Chef Brwn. This interview may be cnducted n the day f, at James Rumsey Technical Institute. 3. The timeframe f Applicatin and Interview will be frm January 5 th t June 15 th. 4. Student selectin will be based upn the best-qualified applicants. Selectin date is tentatively set fr July 1 st. Pst-Secndary Culinary Arts Prgram Attendance Plicy ATTENDANCE The James Rumsey Technical Institute Pst-Secndary Culinary Arts Prgram will adhere strictly with the Adult Preparatry Students Attendance regulatins f Maximum 15 days absent r 90 hurs. Attendance is als imprtant t the daily grade f the student. Each day, 20 pints will be awarded t students fr cmpleting certain tasks. If a student is nt present t cmplete these tasks this daily grade cannt be made up. Lab grades are a crucial part f the learning envirnment and missed experience with hands-n instructin can nly be made up at the discretin f the instructr. *The Chef / Instructr will nt be respnsible fr reminding the student if he/she wes make-up wrk.

Pants must be prperly wrn; nt excessively baggy r t large. Tee shirts with abusive r bscene language r cntent are nt permitted (accrding t Berkeley C. Wunds Prperly Bandaged Befre Class Begins If yu have any cuts, scrapes r burns they must be prperly cvered and taken care f befre class begins. James Rumsey Technical Institute will nt prvide yu with bandages n a daily basis fr a wund. Smking and use f Tbacc is nt allwed in unifrm. If yu are a smker r use tbacc prducts, yu must remve yur unifrm befre using these items.
