STUDY ABROAD YOUR STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM The International College OPTIONAL INTERNSHIP of, Sydney ICMS has developed an internship (ICMS) offers a study abroad program allowing you to combine your Study Abroad experience with program with full academic international work experience. transfer to your home Internship for Credit institution. Students must bring a business suit with them to wear to class. Take 4 academic subjects plus an internship as a 5th subject or take 3 academic subjects and have the internship count as your 4th subject. The option you choose will depend on your home university s study abroad and internship requirements. ICMS SPECIALISATIONS Business Entrepreneurship Event Human Resource Hospitality International Tourism Logistics and Supply Chain Marketing and New Media Property Retail Marketing Sports This internship will involve 10 hours per week in a Sydney based company completing a set task or project assigned by the employer. There is also an academic component to this internship which involves weekly journals, final project and a presentation. Intakes in February, May and You can study any major to apply for this internship but must have a GPA of 3.0 to apply. No previous work experience or internship is necessary. The College provides an intensive orientation program the week before classes officially start. O Week begins with a formal welcome to the College and introduces you to life in Sydney and at ICMS. You ll also be provided with timetable information, textbooks and course materials. You ll be required to wear smart casual clothes during O Week, and your own business attire from Week 1. ICMS ORIENTATION WEEK AYERS ROCK INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL IMMERSION PROGRAM Join us for our 5-day International Cultural Immersion Program in Ayers Rock before you head to ICMS for O Week. The 5-day program is an in-country orientation to welcome you to your host country, helps you adjust to the academic and cultural differences you might encounter, introduces you to other study abroad students that will be attending ICMS, and exposes you to a beautiful and exciting area of Australia. The program provides a unique educational aspect to your study abroad experience and it will prepare you for a semester of new adventures and lifelong memories. Session topics include culture, health and safety, the Australian education system, cultural adjustment and living in Australia. Included in the program are all meals, tour to the Rock, tour to Kata Tjuta, award winning Sounds of Silence dinner under the stars in the desert, educational sessions and bus transfers to and from Ayers Rock Airport.
