luxctrol lighting control sstem DGC The basic DIM DGC provides the basis for an eas-to-use and cost-effective lighting sstem with motion detection. When the sensor detects movement it triggers a individual adjustable motion detection profile in the control unit. As the amount of natural ambient light changes the illuminance from the artificial lighting sstem is adjusted. The connected luminaires can be switched on and off via momentar-action switch or remote control possible. The LI IN interface allows integration of the DGC module also into a comfortdim sstem. The DGC module has 5 preprogrammed profiles which can be selected using the DGC Programmer. The profiles can be adjusted to our application via the mastercfigurator ( V.1) software. If the DGC module is used in the basic application, the CH can be used as control channel for controlling subordinate DGC modules (basic connection), so that the controlling and the subordinate DGC modules can be programmed and allocated to groups using the mastercfigurator software. Ever single DGC module can be allocated to a group and respond to the presence of up to 5 groups (for more detailed information please refer to the mastercfigurator documentation). Standards EN 55015 EN 1000-- EN 1-1 EN 1--11 EN 15 EN 8-101 EN 0598-1 EN 9 Glow-wire test according to EN 1-1 passed. LI standard The DGC is designed to control control gear with LI standard IEC 099 (LI V0) and IEC 8 (LI V1). Installation DGC can be operated without sensor. The motion detection must be disabled via mastercfigurator or with unique connecting a sensor and DGC Programmer. DSI/LI is not SELV. The installation instructions for mains voltage therefore appl. The maximum cable length between the external switch and DGC is 100 m. The maximum cable length between the sensor and DGC is 10 m. A snchronous operation of LI and DSI ballasts at the same control gear is not possible. The output channels (for a cable cross-section of 1.5 mm ) must not be exceeded 100 m. If CH is used as link line, the maximum cable length must not exceed 100 m (at 1.5 mm²). If a DGC is connected to CH, LI IN is disabled and CH is used as Link-Line (neighbourhood function). No control commands are transmitted via CH, to reactivate LI IN see DGC manual. An number of push to make switches ma be connected in parallel to the inputs. Do not connect standard switches to the input. Please ensure that the detection range of the sensor lies in the lighting area of the controlled luminaires. Heaters, fans, printers and copiers located in the detection zone ma cause incorrect presence detection. To avoid false readings, the sensor should be installed so there is no direct light from the lamp in the detection zone. Sensor wires must be routed separatel from the lamp wires and mains cables otherwise the lighting control sstem ma malfunction. If separate routing is not possible (for reasons of space) shielded lamp wires and mains cables must be used. www.tridonic.com

luxctrol lighting control sstem Switch DGC has two inputs ( and ) for two external switches. An number of switches can be connected in parallel to the inputs (parallel connection of and possible). Short press (< 500 ms): Long press (> 500 ms): / Dim up/down A change in the light value deactivates lighting regulation onl temporaril. As soon as the luminaire has been automaticall switched on again (motion detection) or manuall switched off and on again, regulation is activated again. x short press: The overwritten setpoint light value is stored (luminaire acknowledges b flashing twice) Function is lockable via the DSI programmer Different output channels are controlled, depending on the profile selected. Relais The rela can be used in four different operating modes: Reduction of standb losses (standb wiring example) Independent output channel for switching non-dimmable luminaires (LI wiring example) Depending on the profile used, the rela will respond differentl. For the 5 main profiles, the two rela profiles used are Standb and Onl. The mastercfigurator software allows to enable or disable the rela profiles as well. Standb Onl Standb Onl Energ saving mode If the DGC module is switched off, the rela will switch off (after 10 minutes). If the DGC is switched on, the rela will switch on. Switching: rela in standb mode The rela must be switched on using the momentar-action switch, but is switched off b the presence detector. Active Inactive The rela is switched on or off via the presence detector. The rela must be switched on and off using the momentar-action switch. www.tridonic.com 11
luxctrol lighting control sstem Depending on the profile used, different operating modes are preprogrammed for the presence detector. These can be changed using the DGC Programmer or the mastercfigurator software. onl Run-on time / Onl Never 1min 10min 0min AUTO CH CH1 0 % 0 % The light is switched on and off automaticall based on the presence/absence of people. The presence detector just switches the connected luminaires off. The luminaires are switched on manuall via the connected external momentar-action switch or the remote control. If no presence is detected, the sensor dims down to the second light level parameter and maintains this setting. Presence detector disabled. The light must be switched on and off manuall. Run-on time of the presence detector, run-on time starts when no presence is detected. The run-on time ma var depending on the profile used. You can choose whether ou want the DGC module to switch off the light completel or to dim it down to the absence value after the run-on time. It can also be changed using the DGC Programmer or the mastercfigurator software. Absence value 1% 10% 0% Switch-off dela 0min 1 min 0min The absence value (light level) and the switch-off dela (the period for which the level is maintained) differ depending on the profile used; these parameters ma be changed using the DGC Programmer or the mastercfigurator software. Offset - 0% Depending on the profile used, a negative offset ma be enabled between CH and CH1. Using the DGC Programmer and the mastercfigurator software, this parameter ma be changed (also positive offset possible). 500 LUX Artificial light Natural light Manual-off dela 1min Set target value SET The light level can be set via following options: REMOTECTROL IR (press the ke for > s) DGC Programmer (press the ke for > s) mastercfigurator software external momentar-action switch: SET B briefl pressing the momentar-action switch twice the currentl measured light level is saved as new target value. (Depending on the profile used, this function is enabled or disabled, but it can be changed using the DGC Programmer or the mastercfigurator software) Bright-out If the nominal illuminance level (e.g. 500 lx) is exceeded for 10 minutes at over 150 % (e.g. 50 lx), the light is switched off, even if presence is detected. The light is switched on again as soon as the measured light level falls below the target value. Depending on the profile used, this function is either enabled or disabled and can be changed using the DGC Programmer or the mastercfigurator software. The bright-out status can be indicated on the sensor b a slowl flashing green status LED. B default this function is disabled, but it can be enabled using the mastercfigurator software. CH1 CH 10 min If the light is switched off manuall via momentar-action switch or remote control, the presence detector is disabled. After a period of dela without an presence detected, the presence detector is enabled again. If the sensor detects presence during the Manual Off dela, the dela time will start all over again. Lighting control AUTO Lighting control is started via the Auto ke of the Programmer or REMOTECTROL IR. If the DGC module has been switched on via the ke, lighting control is disabled. If ou want to use lighting control, ou need to start the DGC module via the Auto ke. Lighting control can also be disabled using the mastercfigurator software.
