1. Introduction Accelerated iquote by TAL is a unique tool for advisers designed to initiate a sales discussion anywhere, anytime. Accelerated iquote is the first of its kind utilising mobile devices and fully integrated technologies. 2. Using Accelerated iquote 2.1. Download the Accelerated iquote application You need an iphone, ipad or ipod Touch with access to the Apple Store via an internet connection. To start, select the App Store icon from your device. Enter accelerated iquote and select Search. Accelerated iquote is returned as shown below. Press accelerated iquote to view the install screen. Select Install. Enter your itunes Password and then select OK to proceed with the download. Accelerated iquote will start installing to your device. Once installed, select the iquote icon so the initial set-up steps can begin. Accelerated iquote Page 5
2.2. Setting up your details Before you are able to start a new quote, you will need to enter some details so that quotes you create can be saved to the TAL Adviser Centre. To start, select the iquote icon on your device. The message below is displayed. Select OK to enter the initial set-up details. This is the adviser default settings page. All details in Settings must be completed before you can use Accelerated iquote. Username = TAC User ID Password = TAC Password Name = Preferred adviser name that will appear on the email Phone = Preferred adviser contact number Email = Preferred adviser email address Accelerated iquote Page 6
The quote defaults as shown can now be adjusted, as required. The changed values will be used for the next quote created. Once all details are completed, select the iquote button at the top right corner of the screen to continue. Accelerated iquote Page 7
2.3. Navigating around Accelerated iquote The Welcome screen for Accelerated iquote will always appear when you start the application. The main selections on the Welcome screen are Create New Quote and Settings. Additional information about Accelerated iquote can be accessed from any of the selections under the Help panel. The About screen provides an overview for the features of Accelerated iquote. The Default Settings screen lists the default options and benefits which are used when calculating the premium for iquote. Some of the Default Setting can be modified in Settings are denoted as such with 'else derived from settings'. Accelerated iquote Page 9
The FAQ screen provides answers to commonly asked questions about Accelerated iquote. There is also a section for contact numbers within TAL, which when selected, will automatically dial the number selected. Accelerated iquote Page 10
2.4. Creating a new quote On selection of the Create New Quote button, the first screen displayed is the Life Insured screen. You must complete all fields on this screen before continuing to enter the cover details. The fields in the screen use standard Apple application methods to collect the information. Title = drop down list First = customer's first name Last = customer's last name DOB = is a rolodex where day, month and year can be selected individually Gender = button options for Male or Female Smoker = button options for Yes or No State = defaulted to the state entered in 2.2 Setting up your details. This can be changed here for each individual quote. Occupation = The Occupation list can be scrolled, filtered using a starting letter selected on the right hand side, or an occupation can be partially entered to search. Annual Income = Incremental selection of $5,000 amounts. This is also used to default a Monthly Income Benefit if Income Protection Plan is selected. The Life Insured's details can be modified at any point before the premium is calculated or after to calculate a new premium. You can now select any or all of the following types of cover: Life Plan with TPD and Critical Illness as rider benefits Income Protection Business Expense Accelerated iquote Page 11
Selecting a cover field will present a rolodex for selection of the sum insured. At this point, you may select to enter the TPD Sum Insured or one of the other cover options. NOTE: The same rules apply as with the online quote; TPD and Critical Illness cannot have a greater sum insured than the Life Sum Insured. The system will only validate business rules when Calculate Premium is selected. Any rule in error will return a Business Rule Violation message. Select Calculate Premium. Accelerated iquote Page 12
During the calculation of the premium, this screen will display a turning windmill. All quotes normally respond with a premium in less than 10 seconds. On successful return of the premium, Accelerated iquote is saved on the TAL Adviser Centre under your login, and can be retrieved from the 'Find & Resume' screen. When the premium is returned, the screen as shown below is displayed with the total premium for the quote as well as the Quote Reference number. Accelerated iquote Page 13
2.5. Additional features There is also an option to enter an email address to Email iquote to Client as a reminder. This can only be done once a premium is returned. You will also be able to Save Contact Detail to your device under the Contacts icon. This will store the life insured's first and last name and also the email and/or mobile number as entered. If you choose to send a reminder email, an example of this can be seen below. Your email address entered during 2.2 Setting up your details will default to the Cc field and the email will be To field from the previous screen. Accelerated iquote Page 14
2.6. Restrictions with quoting Accelerated iquote has been simplified to cater to best case scenarios for quoting. This means that certain restrictions have been made for ease of use. 2.6.1. Minimum Entry Age Minimum entry age for Life, Critical Illness and TPD insurance is 16 next birthday, but for Income Protection and Business Expense insurance it is 19; Accelerated iquote uses 19 next birthday. 2.6.2. Maximum Entry Age Maximum entry age is restricted by the Premium type. Due to the Level premiums option being available, Accelerated iquote uses 55 next birthday. 2.6.3. Occupation List A limited occupation list compared to Accelerated Protection online sees the removal of occupation that rate as follows: Income Protection/Business Expense insurance with a rating of SRA, UI, IC, BB & B Life, Critical Illness and TPD insurance with a rating of UI, IC & Per Mille loading Remove all occupations that are considered to have a volatile income, which are generally your Farmer occs and are denoted as restrictions apply in the Adviser Guide. 2.6.4. Maximum Sum Insured The maximum sum insured is limited as follow: Life: $5,000,000 TPD: $3,000,000 CI: $2,000,000 IP: Based on Annual Income BEX: $30,000 Accelerated iquote Page 15
