1 Setting up Channel-21 Secure RSS CEP on Important Information About C21 CEP Podcasts itunes iphone / ipad Android Phone/Tablet Demo Videos Important Information about Channel-21 CEP Channel-21 Digital CEP uses proven RSS (Podcast) technology to enable Network TwentyOne affiliated Amway IBOs to access download and access their ongoing education (CEP) in the most flexible and easy to use manner. Please note however that although every effort has been made to make your use of this technology as simple as possible, subscribing to and managing a digital CEP via the secure (password protected) RSS feed model we have developed requires some basic understanding of computers (web browser, itunes, ) as well as a basic understanding of how to synchronize your mobile device to your computer should you wish to listen to your CEP away from your computer. The first method listed below of downloading your CEP podcast to itunes is by far the easiest method for retrieving your monthly CEP material and should be the most common solution for IBOs to use. The other 2 methods listed for downloading CEP directly to your mobile device a amazingly convenient solutions once implemented but they do require that one have a good understanding of how to purchase, download and install applications for their device. Additionally, setting up these devices is more involved that the simple itunes setup so if you are not familiar with how to do this and do not have someone available to help you; we recommend you stay with the itunes solution. An important note about downloading C21 CEP Podcasts directly to mobile devices: If you choose to download to a mobile device using 3 rd party software as detailed below, it is important that you still configure your computer to download your monthly CEP Podcast to itunes and to set itunes to save all past Podcast episodes (CEP titles). This is important so that you have the ability to free up space on your mobile device and always have a backup copy of your Digital CEP. A final note about C21 Digital CEP copyright licensing and how it differs from physical Network TwentyOne CDs. The CDs you purchase from Network TwentyOne are copyrighted and sold in a way that gives you the ability to share the CD you have with others but it does not give you the right to have more copies of the CD than you purchased. C21 Digital CEP is different it that Network TwentyOne licenses the Digital CEP to an IBO-ship managing that couple who are building the business together may each have a copy of their C21 Digital CEP on each of their computers. In fact, an IBO-ship may have a copy on their computer(s) and also on all of their mobile devices. Unfortunately, there is no ability to share your C21 Digital CEP with others. For that you will need to purchase the CD. Special precautions have been put in place to allow us to determine if a C21 Digital CEP membership is being shared with others and should we determine this is occurring, your membership will be cancelled.

2 itunes System Requirements In order to run the Channel-21 Digital CEP Podcast for itunes, please see the system requirements here: Initial Setup of the Channel-21 CEP Podcast for itunes Remember, regardless of which primary method you use to subscribe to and receive your C21 CEP, we strongly recommend that you configure one of your computers to download and keep all of your CEP Podcasts to serve as a backup should you lose your mobile device or need to delete files to free up memory. If needed, download and install itunes for PC or Mac from: Note: If a previous version of itunes is installed, please run Apple Software Update instead. To start update, go to the Help menu and select Check for Updates. When itunes installation is complete, Login to Channel-21 website and visit CEP section. Click on the itunes icon that is displayed as one of the feed options. This will automatically launch itunes (depending on your computer speed this may take up to 1 minute) and auto-load the Channel-21 CEP Podcast feed into the Podcast section of itunes. Note: If auto-load of the CEP podcast in itunes does not occur; within the itunes, go to the Advanced menu and select Subscribe to Podcast In the Subscribe to Podcast box, paste the Channel-21 CEP feed URL and click OK. You can view and copy the Channel-21 CEP feed URL by clicking on the Send details of this CEP subscription to myself icon. When prompted within itunes, enter your Channel-21 username & password. If you need your Channel-21 RSS Feed password you can your CEP Subscription details (both feed address and your CEP RSS login ID and password by clicking on the Send details of this CEP subscription to myself icon in the CEP section of your Channel-21 website. Note: Be sure to checkmark Remember my password. Windows XP / Vista / 7 users will be required to click the OK button on the username & password box each time itunes is restarted.

3 The Channel-21 CEP Podcast will load into the main Podcasts window of itunes. Note: If this does not occur, click the Podcasts icon in the left menu bar of itunes. itunes has several category viewing options: Podcasts, Categories & New. Please choose the one that best suits your needs. Double click on the Channel-21 CEP Podcast album icon. You will see the list of available CEP files for download. Note: If you don t see this, click the small dark grey triangle next to the feed to reveal the available shows for download. To download all files available, click the GET ALL button at the top of the list. To download individual files available, click the GET button next to each file listed.

4 To monitor the progress of the download, click the Downloads icon in the left menu bar of itunes.

5 Setup the Channel-21 CEP Podcast for itunes Auto-Download Feature itunes has streamlined the Podcasts settings button. Under the Podcasts category, click the Setting button located in the bottom left corner of the main Podcasts window. In the Podcast Settings box, we recommend the following settings for each Channel-21 CEP Podcast that you have subscribed to: Check for new episodes: Select Every day. Use Default Settings: Un Checked When new episodes are available: Download all Episodes to keep : All episodes Click the OK button. Playing the Channel-21 CEP Podcast for itunes To play the Channel-21 CEP Podcast in itunes, simply double-click on the file of choice to hear it. Alternatively, you may highlight the file of choice by clicking on it once and then clicking the play button in the upper left hand corner of itunes. Note: If you do not hear any audio, be sure the volume bar in itunes is adjusted to the right. Also, verify your computer system s volume and speakers are on.

6 Syncing the Channel-21 CEP Podcast for itunes to your ipod, ipod Touch, or iphone Attach your ipod, ipod Touch or iphone to your computer using your USB cable. Click the ipod icon in the left menu bar of itunes under Devices. Click the Podcasts tab in the main window. Checkmark Sync Podcasts.

7 Select the Channel-21 CEP Podcast. Click Apply in the bottom right hand corner of the main window. Click Sync in the bottom right hand corner of the main window to transfer the files from itunes to your ipod. Note: Once this has been setup once, attaching your ipod to your computer will auto-sync after download, or repeat the above step if the ipod is already attached to your computer. When ready to detach the ipod for listening, click the Eject icon next to the ipod icon in the left

8 side menu bar in itunes. Note: For more information on syncing your ipod or iphone, go to: Playing the Channel-21 CEP Podcast on your ipod, ipod Touch, ipad or iphone After downloading your C-21 CEP to your itunes on your computer, connect and sync your ipod, ipod Touch, ipad or iphone to your itunes. To playback the Channel-21 CEP Podcast audio on your ipod, navigate to: Music - Podcasts - Channel-21 CEP Podcast. Scroll to the file of your choice and then click the center button to begin playback. To playback the Channel-21 CEP Podcast audio on your ipod Touch or iphone, navigate to: ipod - More - Podcasts - Channel-21 CEP Podcast Tap the file of your choice for playback. iphone / ipad Setting up Channel-21 Secure RSS CEP to download directly on the ipad or iphone NOTE: The following steps are straightforward but should only be undertaken by someone who is comfortable installing applications on their iphone/ipad. This application is not required to play CEP on your iphone/ipad (see Playing the Channel-21 CEP Podcast on your ipod, ipod Touch, or iphone above), only to have CEP download directly to your iphone/ipad. 1. We currently recommend the RSS Podcast app called DOWNCAST. Available in the itunes app store for $1.99 (price will vary depending on country) Purchase, download and install Downcast on your iphone/ipad. 3. Next you need to configure the settings for this application. Open the Downcast app and click on the More button on the lower right of the screen. The following settings are recommended: Refresh Feeds - Every 24 hours New Episode Action - Download All Episodes to Keep - Keep All (please note each title is between 12 and 20MB so over time you may need to change this setting. It is recommended that you also have your CEP RSS feeds download to your computer to itunes or a similar program to ensure you retain copies of past CEP months subscriptions should you delete them on your iphone. See separate instructions above on setting Channel-21 RSS CEP downloads up on itunes). Automatically Download - If you have a limited data plan you may want to set this to Wi-Fi only. If you have an unlimited data plan Always is a nice feature. Shake for Media Skip - Off

9 Local Episodes Sort - Sort by Date Descending will put the newest titles at the top. Icon Badge - Unplayed will put an icon on your home screen of how many titles you have not yet listened to. This works well to alert you to new titles which automatically download. 4. Now you are ready to add your Channel-21 CEP, click on the Add Podcast icon on the bottom of the app screen and select Add Podcast Manually. 5. Enter the URL of your personalized Channel-21 CEP Podcast available on your Channel-21 CEP tab. (Hint: You should have received an after signing up for CEP the URL as well as the login details for your C-21 CEP subscription. You can resend this login information directly from your Channel-21 account by clicking on the icon on the CEP tab of Channel-21. You may also visit m.channel-21.com from your iphone/ipad Safari browser and click on the CEP icon in the upper right of the screen to copy or your CEP URL needed for Downcast.) 6. For Login information enter your username and password from Channel-21.com from the mentioned in step 5 above. 7. Once all information is entered on the Add Podcast screen, click the Subscribe button on the upper right of the screen. Now click on the Podcasts icon on the lower right and you should see your CEP Podcast subscription. 8. Occasionally only the 1st of the CEP subscription will download (especially after setting up a new subscription). Should this occur, simply scroll to the bottom of the CEP feed screen, click on the View other available episodes link and select Download All in the lower left of the screen. 9. If you have multiple CEP Subscriptions, repeat 4-8 for each subscription. Android Phone / Tablet Setting up Channel-21 Secure RSS CEP to download directly on the Android Phone NOTE: The following steps are straightforward but should only be undertaken by someone who is comfortable installing applications on their Android phone. This application is designed only to have CEP download directly to your phone, it is not required to play CEP on your phone as you may use whatever method you use for music to sync your phone with your itunes account on your computer. 1. We currently recommend the RSS Podcast app called BeyondPod. Available in the Android Market Place for free. 2. This is a 7 day full feature trial, you will have to purchase the unlock key for $ Download and install BeyondPod on your Android, using the Google Play Store.

10 4. Follow the below steps to add Channel-21 CEP Podcast Information from Network-21 take note of username and password. Open your mobile web browser on your Android device Navigate to Login with username and password to your Channel-21 account Click on the CEP Icon at the top right of the screen. Select the feed URL that you have subscribed to. A pop up window will ask Complete action using. Select BeyondPod.

11 BeyondPod will launch the add feed window. Change the Feed Category to Business and Finance Scroll window down to Feed Podcast Episodes Download Newest Episodes Change Get 3 episodes to 999 Scroll window down to Episode Cleanup, this allows you to set how many episodes are stored on your phone, change 10 to 999 and delete episodes older than days. Scroll window to more settings. Enter the Desired Feed Name. Ie. C-21 CEP Scroll Down to Feed Authentication Enter in the Channel-21 RSS username in the Feed User Name box. Note: If you need your Channel-21 RSS Feed password you can your CEP Subscription details (both feed address and your CEP RSS login ID and password by clicking on the Send details of this CEP subscription to myself icon of your Channel-21 website. Enter Channel-21 CEP RSS password in Feed Password box. Click on Save button. BeyondPod will then connect and update the feed. in the CEP section
