Intrductin The Acceleratr can ptentially be prvisined in ne f three ways based n yur Acceleratr license key. Yur license key dictates whether yur enterprise has the ability t enable Mbile UC and/r PSTN Access (SIP Trunking) functinality. During Acceleratr prvisining, a carrier was created that enabled ne r bth f these services. Hw yu integrate yur Cisc Unified Cmmunicatin Manager PBX with the Acceleratr depends n hw yur carrier is cnfigured n the Acceleratr. Mbile Unified Cmmunicatins (Mbile UC) - The Mbile UC applicatin extends PBX and Unified Cmmunicatins (UC) features t mbile devices. Examples include Single Number, Single Vicemail, and Abbreviated Dialing. Fr Mbile UC, the Acceleratr uses a cmbinatin f SIP lines and trunks t integrate with the Cisc PBX. SIP Trunk Interfaces Used fr prviding terminating services fr calls frm the Acceleratr. Fr terminating call types where the call is being terminated t an Acceleratr subscriber's desk r mbile. SIP Line Interfaces Used t prvide riginating services and fr simultaneus ringing f a subscribers desk and mbile devices. When an Acceleratr UC Subscriber places a mbile riginatin call (RVE) the Acceleratr will deliver the call t the PBX using the line interface. This allws the PBX t prvide that subscribers riginating services t the call. Als, the SIP line interface prvides MWI fr the CUCM PBX. CTI (JTAPI) An Applicatin user must be created fr the Acceleratr t enable desk t mbile Call Mve services fr subscribers. PSTN Access (e.g. SIP Trunking applicatin) PSTN Access facilitates interwrking between enterprise and SIP entities such as PBXs and PSTN carriers (i.e. SIP Trunking Service Prviders) as well as between internal enterprise SIP entities. Fr PSTN Access, the Acceleratr uses nly SIP trunk service t integrate with the Cisc PBX; there are n SIP lines assciated with the Acceleratr trunking service. In general, PSTN Access is used when the Acceleratr must relay a call frm the Cisc PBX desk phne t the PSTN. And, vice-versa; PSTN riginated calls t DIDs assigned t the Cisc PBX will be ruted frm the carrier t the Acceleratr PSTN Access service t the PBX. March 2014 CONFIDENTIAL Page 5 f 45
Imprtant Nte: Thrugh ut this dcument and ther Acceleratr dcuments the term PSTN Access is used t describe the functins f the SIP Trunking Cntrller prduct. These terms are interchangeable. Whenever yu see PSTN Access we are talking abut the SIP Trunking Cntrller. Supprted Versins This dcument addresses the way that the Acceleratr integrates with Cisc Unified Cmmunicatins Manager. The dcument supprts Unified Cmmunicatins Manager release 5.1, 6.1, 7.0, 8.0, 8.6, and 9.x. Ntes: When prvisining a 5.1 r 6.1 Cisc PBX n the Acceleratr, the PBX drp dwn menu (Add PBX) shws these tw PBXs as Cisc Call Manager 5.1 and Cisc Call Manager 6.1 independently. Cisc Unified Call Manager License Key Requirements The type f licenses needed fr yur Cisc Unified Cmmunicatin Manager (CUCM) PBX depends n the PBX release versin. CUCM prir t 9.0 Cisc licenses their unified cmmunicatins PBX using DLUs r Device License Units. Integratin with the Acceleratr requires 3 DLUs per Basic SIP device. Cisc describes DLUs as: Device license units are assigned t each device that is cnnected t Cisc Unified Cmmunicatins Manager. Each device is assigned a unit number based n the type and capabilities f the device. Devices with mre cmplex and high-end capabilities are assigned a higher number f units. 1 CUCM 9.x (r later) The CUCM licenses are different fr the 9.x releases as cmpared t releases prir t 9.0. CUWL Standard (10 devices per user) supprts advanced (vice and vide) call cntrl features including desktp and mbile and up t ten devices per user. 2 Nte that this dcument used the CUWL Standard license fr integratin with the Acceleratr.
