2014 SPONSOR PROGRAM The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), founded by twelve African- American Architects in 1971, has a core mission to champion diversity within the design professions by promoting the excellence, community engagement, and professional development of its members. Through strong chapters of design professionals all over the country with an interest in promoting urban communities, NOMA responds to the concerns that affect marginalized communities and people by increasing the level of participation in the social, political and economic benefits afforded the citizens of this nation and to tear down the barriers that make full participation unattainable. The Atlanta Chapter of the NOMA is currently one of the largest chapters in the nation, with Professional, Associate and Corporate members. Our members represent all areas of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. NOMA Atlanta s new mission for 2014 aligns with our national organization and seeks to champion diversity in Atlanta community by promoting the excellence, community engagement, and professional development of its members. This mission is accomplished by networking, linking, advocating, promoting, partnering, sponsoring, mentoring and providing advise to support diversity in metro Atlanta.
