2 Dear Friends and Supporters, The Jackson-Tougaloo Alumni Chapter of the Tougaloo College National Alumni Association requests your support and contributions toward our annual Tougaloo College Scholarship Fundraising Event. This year s theme is A Day at the Museum and will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Smith Robertson Museum & Cultural Center located in Jackson, MS. Proceeds from this event will provide scholarships for current and incoming Tougaloo College students. Scholarship presentations will be made the day of the event. Over the years, the Jackson-Tougaloo Alumni Chapter (JTAC) has supported students through various scholarships with amounts exceeding $2000 annually. JTAC also contributes to Tougaloo College s General Operations Fund annually. In addition to this, JTAC supports the Tougaloo College Pre-Alumni Council and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). This funding is made possible through supporters like you. We hope that you will join us for A Day at the Museum and become a sponsor for our Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the organization is to promote the mission, interests, and ideas of Tougaloo College. This is achieved by: encouraging Alumni to raise funds and make contributions annually to the Tougaloo College Annual Giving and Scholarship Fund motivating and recruiting perspective students to matriculate at Tougaloo College enhancing the growth and development of its members socially and professionally providing a forum for promoting good human relations within the organizations assisting Tougaloo College in continuing its reputation of academic excellence through programs designed to enrich educational opportunities for its students supporting Tougaloo College Pre-Alumni, UNCF, and emergency needs of general students
