Advanced Templates/Newsletters What is a Newsletter? An Infrmz newsletter is an HTML email that can be distributed t custmers, members and prspects essentially yur list f subscribers. An Infrmz newsletter resembles a typical printed newsletter yu might receive as a hard cpy in the sense that it cntains multiple stries, ften a sidebar, table f cntents, yur lg, a fter, r even advertisements. A newsletter allws yu the ptin t target mre than ne grup f recipients at ne time, and is sent via email, drastically reducing cst and increasing efficiency. What is an Advanced Template? An advanced template is the statinary surrunding yur newsletter cntent and can be designed t cntain different infrmatin lcatins that yu allw t appear cnsistently within yur newsletter. Yu have the ptin f having a table f cntents, event listings, advertisements, r a date lcatin as static areas in yur newsletter, fr example. What des a newsletter lk like? Standard Templates/QuickMails What is a QuickMail (QM)? An Infrmz QuickMail is a shrt, crisp email cmmunicatin that usually cntains ne main cntent area and is sent t ne targeted grup. An example f cntent cntained within a QM might be a press release sent t a targeted grup f cntacts, r an event annuncement sent t members f yur rganizatin. What is a Standard Template? A standard template is the statinary r letterhead that surrunds yur email message. The standard template typically includes a header, fter and main cntent area. A QuickMail can als cntain a sidebar if all f the cntent is static in the template. The gal here is t make this a simple and quick email cmmunicatin. What des a QuickMail lk like? This area mst ften includes yur lg r brand identity, title f yur newsletter publicatin, date, etc. Cntent Areas/Lcatins: The cntent areas are the lcatins within yur newsletter template where yu wuld like specifc cntent t appear. Lcatins include a sidebar area, table f cntents, advertisements r spnsr area, date, etc. these are all places where cntent can be dynamic. Email marketing campaign: Crdinated email marketing messages delivered at intervals and with an verall bjective r strategy in mind. emarketing Advisr (EMA): Infrmz emarketing Advisrs are seasned marketing prfessinals and experts in the email marketing industry. EMA s are available t assist yu with all aspects f yur marketing campaign and t train and assist yu utilizing the system thrugut the lifetime f yur accunt. Fter: The fter area is the bttm prtin f yur email that includes yur unsubscribe link, physical adddress and cntact infrmatin, and ften a feedback link r Send A Friend ptin. Friendly Frm: This is the email address that will appear in yur recipients inbx. This culd be the name f yur rganizatin r yur email publicatin title whichever best applies t yur campaign. Frm Address: This is the address that the recipient s email server will see. In rder t establish yur accunt, yu will need t prvide a dedciated email address where yu wuld like any ut f ffice replies t g t. Reply t Address: This is the email address where replies t yur email will g. Make sure yur reply t address is an active email address that will be mnitred frequently. Landing Page: The landing page is essentially a web page that is hsted by Infrmz. Within the cntent manager mdules in Infrmz, yu may create a link frm yur email t what we call a landing page that is branded t resemble either the lk and feel f yur email r yur website. This is als knwn as a Read Mre link t hst a full stry n a separate brwser page. Subscribers: Individuals wh have given yur cmpany r rganizatin permissin t send them email crrespndence. Template: A template is essentially the statinary f yur email. Think abut it as the critical infrmatin that appears n yur cmpany r assciatin s letterhead. Viral Marketing/ Send a Friend: The mst difficult task fr any cmpany is t acquire and retain an up t date cntact database. Viral marketing is a technique that encurages yur subscribers t tell a friend abut yur email. Ideally, this wuld be a psitive wrd f muth

recmmendatin, thereby passing infrmatin abut yur rganizatin r cmpany t thers wh might share a similar interest. A friend wh receives the email may decide t subscribe t yur email, ultimately resulting in a grwing subscriber database. As a best practice, it is recmmended t use the Send A Friend feature in the header and r fter lcatin in yur email templates.
