We re committed to making your banking experience the best it can be and part of this commitment is providing you with a secure banking environment. People's Choice Secure Code is the key to unlocking your digital banking now and into the future. It's an extra layer of verification that goes beyond the basic username and passwords to give you secure access to your banking. People's Choice Secure Code enhances digital security and real time fraud detection, making digital banking easier and more secure for you to transact anytime and anywhere...even when you travel. People s Choice Credit Union requires the use of People s Choice Secure Code to authorise certain functions on your membership, or for when you are sending funds to a destination that you have not sent to before. This minimises the risk of fraudulent activity on your account. People's Choice Secure Code is available via any of the following methods: - People s Choice Mobile Banking App: Available for supported Android and ios (Apple) smart devices. People s Choice Secure Code security is built into the People s Choice Mobile Banking App and will automatically protect you when using the App. When transacting on our Internet Banking website, you may be prompted to either; o Respond to a Push Notification from within the Mobile Banking App. You can approve or deny the requested function on the device you have installed the People s Choice Mobile Banking App on, or o Generate a 6 digit Secure Code from within your People s Choice Mobile Banking App under Secure Code in the App menu to enter into Internet Banking to complete your transaction. We recommend this option for members who; o use an Android or ios (Apple) smart device o travel throughout Australia or overseas The People's Choice Mobile Banking App offers the convenience of real-time at login fraud detection and proactively alerts you via Push Notifications, offering the highest level of security. Security is continuously improved during App updates, ensuring you are always using the highest protection. Please refer to the Mobile Banking App Guide (ios and Android) to identify steps to register the App. - VIP Access App for Mobile: The VIP Access App for mobile is an alternative option for smart devices, and Windows devices to the People s Choice Mobile Banking App. Provided by Symantec, the VIP Access App for mobile can be downloaded to smart devices and Windows phones. When transacting on our Internet Banking website, you may be prompted to either; o Respond to a Push Notification from within the VIP Access App. You can approve or deny the requested function on the device you have installed the VIP Access App on, or o Generate a 6 digit Secure Code from within your VIP Access App (on your mobile app) to enter into Internet Banking to complete your transaction. We recommend this option for members who; o do not use an Android or ios (Apple) smart device o do not use the People s Choice Mobile Banking App o are travelling throughout Australia or overseas.

It s important to note that VIP Access for Windows or Mac Computers offer the convenience of realtime at login fraud detection, however do not proactively alert you, as they are unable to issue Push Notification alerts. When transacting on our Internet Banking website, you may be prompted to; o Generate a 6 digit Secure Code from within your VIP Access (using your Windows or Mac computer desktop app) to enter into Internet Banking to complete your transaction. We recommend this option for members who; o do not use an Android or ios (Apple) smart device o do not use the People s Choice Mobile Banking App o are travelling throughout Australia or overseas with their personal computer. Steps on how to download and register VIP Access for Windows or Mac computers are provided in this guide. - Branch Access Token: All Branches have an Access Token, in the form of a Secure Code card. It s important to note that Branch Access Tokens offer the convenience of real-time at login fraud detection, however do not proactively alert you, as they are unable to issue Push Notification alerts. The Secure Code cards are secured to each Internet Banking booth at every branch and, are available for you to use within Internet Banking. The card will generate a 6 digit Secure Code when requested. When transacting on our Internet Banking website, you may be prompted to; o Generate a 6 digit Secure Code from the Branch Access Token (by pressing the PRESS HERE button on the Secure Code card available in the Internet Banking booth) to enter into Internet Banking to complete your transaction. We recommend this option for members who; o do not use an Android or ios (Apple) smart device o do not use the People s Choice Mobile Banking App o do not have a Windows or MAC personal computer o perform internet banking using a branch Internet Banking booth - Personal Access Token: The Personal Access Token is a small hand-held device that you will have ownership of that generates a 6 digit Secure Code when requested. The token is to be kept in a secure location. It s important to note that Personal Access Tokens offer the convenience of realtime at login fraud detection, however do not proactively alert you, as they are unable to issue Push Notification alerts. We recommend this option for members who; o are unable to use the People's Choice Mobile Banking App or VIP Access App (i.e. you do not have a personal smartphone, windows phone or personal computer access). o are travelling throughout Australia or overseas Please refer to the Internet Banking User Guide to identify steps to register an Access Token. You will only need to authenticate yourself with People s Choice Secure Code once per session.

Page 5 VIP Access App Guide 2. Downloading VIP Access. The first step is to download VIP Access to your smart device or personal computer (Windows operating system) or Mac. Depending on how you do your banking, you may choose to install VIP Access on both a smart device and personal computer. Downloading the VIP Access App (Symantec) Smart Phone, Windows Phone or Tablet a. To download the VIP Access App to your smart device, you will need to search for VIP Access in your device s available App store (e.g.: Google Play Store, Microsoft Store or the Apple Store). Please note: Windows phones are Android based. To download VIP Access App for Windows phones you can select the VIP Access for Mobile for Android phones. b. Select the VIP Access App (See Figure 1for an example of how the App will display in your App store) Figure 1: VIP Access App icon in App stores c. Install the App, on your device from the App store. When using your VIP Access App for the first time, the VIP Access App will ask to send you push notifications (See Figure 2 below). You can turn your push notifications on and off by managing your notifications in your device settings. i. Allow push notifications: This means that when you are completing new or specific transactions in internet banking you will receive a push notification prompting you to approve or deny that transaction to take place (See Figure 3 below). ii. Don t allow push notifications: This means that when you are completing new or specific transactions in internet banking you will be prompted for a secure code. You can obtain a 6 digit secure code by opening your Access App (See Figure 4 below) You can turn your push notifications on and off by managing your notifications in your device settings. d. Once the App has been installed, you will need to register your VIP Access App within People s Choice Internet Banking. Please see Chapter Three Registering your Access App for People s Choice Secure Code on page 11 for instructions.

Downloading VIP Access (Symantec) Personal Computer (Windows operating system) or Mac a. To download VIP Access to your personal computer or Mac you will need to access the internet. b. Using your preferred browser search for Symantec VIP Access and select the Symantec VIP- Two Factor Authentication Anywhere link (see Figure 5 Below). Alternatively you can click on the following link https://m.vip.symantec.com/ Figure 5: Symantec VIP Access link in search results c. On the Symantec VIP page, select Download to start installing your VIP Access (see Figure 6 below). Figure 6: Symantec VIP Access download page Page 8

d. Once you have clicked on Download you will be asked to choose your device option (see Figure 7 below). To proceed, choose the option relevant for you: VIP Access for Computer - For Mac computers select Security Code - For Windows personal computers select Windows Figure 7: Symantec VIP Access Device Selection Mac Computers e. Steps to download your VIP Access on your personal computer will be different depending on your browser and the type of computer you use. We have included some common examples below. i. Running the Installation: You may be asked to Run the download to begin the installation process on your computer. Select Run and VIP Access will download to your personal computer/laptop/desktop (See Figure 8 below). Figure 8: Symantec VIP Access Run download Page 9

ii. Set-Up Wizard: Depending on your computer and browser, to complete the installation of VIP Access on your desktop, you will be prompted to run through an installation process such as the VIP Access Setup Wizard. The Setup Wizard will prompt you to accept the VIP Access App s terms and conditions and confirm the location you would like to install VIP Access on your personal computer or Mac (if you would prefer not to install it on your desktop). For more information on the steps to follow in the Setup Wizard, see Figures 9-13 below. iii. Opening VIP Access on macos Sierra: VIP Access is downloaded to a Mac from an approved link within the Symantec website, not from the Mac App Store. Often, if you try and open an app on a Mac that is not registered with Apple by an identified developer you will get a warning message. This is due to the default security settings on your macos Sierra identifying that VIP Access was not downloaded via the Apple Store. To override your security settings and open the app from the Symantec website complete the following steps: 1. In the Finder, locate the app you want to open and drag it to the Applications folder. When completing this step, don t use Launchpad. Launchpad will not allow you to access the shortcut menu. 2. Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu. 3. Click Open. The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app. For additional support with your Apple device, contact Apple Support at https://support.apple.com g. Once installed, the following icon will be displayed on your desktop (or in an alternative location if you selected one during the Setup Wizard installation process). See Figure 14 below. h. To use VIP Access, simply click on the icon and the Credential ID and Secure Code will display, see Figure 15 below. Figure 15: VIP Access Personal Computer Token f. Once VIP Access has been installed, you will need to register your VIP Access within People s Choice Internet Banking. Please see Chapter Three, Registering VIP Access for People's Choice Secure Code on page 11 for instructions. 3. Registering your VIP Access for People s Choice Secure Code. To register your VIP Access for People s Choice Secure Code: a. Log in to People's Choice Internet Banking b. Select Settings from the main menu and then Secure Code Management (See Figure 16: Internet Banking Secure Code Management) c. If you are registering for People's Choice Secure Code for the first time, you will be prompted to complete a second tier authentication challenge either by entering in your Factor 2 Icons or SMS Verification code. If you are already registered for People's Choice Secure Code and are registering an additional VIP Access App you have installed on another device, you will be prompted to approve a Push Notification or generate a Secure Code from the device you have already registered. Alternatively, you can contact 13 11 82 for a One Time Passcode. Figure 16: Internet Banking Secure Code Management. Page 12

VIP Access first device registration To register your VIP Access as a secure device for the first time: a. Select Add device Figure 17: Internet Banking Secure Code Management Add Device. b. Enter the name of the device (The device name is a name you choose. You re able to personalise the name of your device e.g. My iphone 6, My Mac Laptop or Johns Samsung Phone). This can be found in your VIP Access that you have recently downloaded on your mobile or desktop Page 13

Obtain a 6 digit Secure Code from the VIP Access App and enter the code in the Secure Code field in Internet Banking. You can find a Secure Code in your VIP Access you have recently downloaded on your mobile or desktop. Page 14

Adding/ Registering Additional VIP Access Devices a. Log in to People s Choice Internet Banking b. Select Settings from the main menu and then Secure Code Management You will be prompted to approve a Push Notification or generate a Secure Code from the device you have already registered. Alternatively, you can contact 13 11 82 for a One Time Passcode. c. Select Add device Figure 24: Internet Banking Secure Code Management Add Device. g. d. Enter the Credential ID from the VIP Access App you want to add. This can be found in your VIP Access App on your mobile or desktop. Figure 26: VIP Access App locate the Credential ID. f. Enter the 6 digit Secure Code from the VIP Access you want to add and enter the code in the Secure Code field in Internet Banking. You can find a Secure Code in your VIP Access on your mobile or desktop. Figure 28: VIP Access App locate and enter the 6 digit Secure Code. Mobile Desktop Page 19

You have now successfully added an additional Secure Code Device and are now registered for People s Choice Secure Code. Using your Secure Code People s Choice Secure Code is an additional security measure to ensure you verify new or certain functions being performed on your accounts. Depending on how you do your banking, you won t always be prompted to either accept a push notification (smart phone app) or generate and provide a Secure Code when completing transactions. However, when you do transact a little differently, you will now be asked to verify your transactions using your VIP Access App via a push notification or request to generate a Secure Code. 4. Technical Help and Support.
