FFA Day on the Hill Tuesday, June 16, 2015 NEW!! Register Online The WAAE Promotion and Public relations committee is working hard to promote the importance of agriculture. Tuesday June 16 from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. They are offering an opportunity for FFA members to participate in a "Hill" visit. WAAE has organized a liaison to teach the FFA members how to present themselves to their legislative policy makers in Madison. They will work with the students and provide them with educational training materials compliments of the WAAE PR committee and NAAE. We are all aware of the struggles with school funding. We need to be active and involve as many people as possible. This is an opportunity to make our voices heard at the Capitol. There is a cap of 100 students for this above the chapter level participation. It will be on a firstcome first-served basis. We ask advisors to select FFA members based on their leadership skills, speaking skills, attitude, and good people skills. Some criteria you can use: officers, speaking contest participants, political interest and background, and they must have proper official dress. FFA Members participating in this event are asked to know who their State Assembly person and Senator are when they attend this event so that proper and efficient assignments can be made. Registration deadline is June 1. Any questions please feel free to call or e-mail Jenifer Bos or Linda Sattler.
