We back up yur business 1 Prerequisites Befre using the Ahsay NAS Client Utility (AhsayNCU) t install Ahsay Offsite Backup Server (AhsayOBS) and Ahsay Replicatin Server (AhsayRPS) n the NAS device, please make sure that the fllwing requirements are met: 1. NAS mdels that are in ur supprted list. The NAS device has been cnfigured t meet the minimum requirements f the specific mdel. (Please refer t the Supprted Mdels Sectin). 3. The NAS device is plugged nt the same subnet f the cmputer where AhsayNCU is running n. The NAS manufacturer web administratin cnsle is running n default TCP prts (i.e. 80 and 443) and n ther mdules/applicatins n the NAS device are using prt 80 and 443. After installatin, AhsayOBS & AhsayRPS will use prts 80 and 443 fr their web administratin cnsle and the NAS manufacturer web administratin cnsle will be relcated t prts 8080 and 8443. 5. The NAS device is cnnected t the internet, this is imprtant because AhsayOBS & AhsayRPS require internet cnnectin t activate its license. 6. Fr sme NAS devices, RAID has t be built befre the installed hard disks can be used. In this case, if RAID has never been built, please select yur desired [RAID Level] (RAID5 recmmended) in the [RAID Infrmatin] sectin and press the [Next] buttn t build the RAID file system. The time required fr building RAID varies frm different NAS mdels as well as the RAID level yu have chsen. On sme systems, it can take up t 10 hurs t finish building a 1TB RAID 5 file system cnsisting f 5 drives. Please be patient when building RAID. After the RAID file system has been built, the [Status] field under the [RAID Infrmatin] sectin will be changed t Healthy. Yu can then press the [Next] buttn t cntinue. Enable/Disable AhsayOBS & AhsayRPS share flder Lgn t NETGEAR web administratin cnsle. G t [Services] -> [Installed Add-ns]. Click n the Share OBSR_HOME buttn t share the AhsayOBS & AhsayRPS hme flder r click n the Un-share OBSR_HOME buttn t un-share it. The default username f the share flder is bsr and the default passwrd is bsr. Change Passwrd Lgn t the web administratin cnsle. G t [Security] -> [User and Grup Accunts]. In the crrespnding textbx f user accunt bsr, enter the new passwrd. Click n the Apply buttn t prceed the change. Reset Passwrd t default passwrd (Methd 1) Lgn t the web administratin cnsle.
