1 Access requirements 1.1 Technical requirements In order to use Finter Online Banking service through the internet you will need an internet connection. You will also require an internet browser of your choice with integrated Java interpreter and SSL support (Internet Explorer x.x or Firefox x.x). 1.2 Contract ID The contract ID is an additional security feature in the login process. You will need to fill in your contract number which you will find in the separate letter with the password with a pin number if you have signed up for a RSA SecurID. 1.3 Password To gain access to your account through the internet, please use the six-digit personal password that you have received in a separate letter, and the 4-digit pin number which you only will receive if you signed up for RSA SecurID. Please register to E- Banking as soon as possible after receipt of the password letter. Before your first call-up of account information, you will be guided through an activation procedure by the system. You will be invited once to change your password, after the first authentication either with mtan or RSA SecurID. You must change your password by entering a new password that must consist of a combination of at least 6 characters long, including at least one letter and one number. Make sure that you fill in your password exactly as you received, because your e-banking account will be locked after three consecutive erroneous inputs for security reasons. This suspension cannot be lifted. In this case please contact your account manager and request new access data to be issued to you. Please note that ascending (e.g. 23456789) or descending (e.g. 98765432) sequences and sequences of identical numbers (e.g. 33333333) or letter sequences should be avoided. 1.4 Access Code (SecurID) The current numerical code displayed by your SecurID key fob token. 3

1.5 mtan Mobile Transaction Authentication Number The mobile TAN procedure is a further development of the itan procedure (indexed TAN). It is the safest procedure available at present. Using the mtan procedure you will receive a flash SMS on your mobile phone each time you need to login to your e-banking account. You will receive mobile TAN s via SMS on demand, no more TAN letters will be sent to you by mail. Each TAN can be used only once. It is automatically invalidated at being used. 1.6 mtan generation You will be able to generate a valid TAN using your ID (contract number) and your password. 1.7 RSA SecurID We have a comprehensive security system in place authentication of our users is realized by means of RSA SecurID. Each user receives a key fob. On the display a new six-digit Security Code appears every 60 seconds and this is shown by a time bar with six steps (if there are only 2 steps left it is recommended to wait for the next number.) The key fob is equipped with a counter on the left hand side of the display (time bar). The counter shows the remaining validity period of the currently displayed access code. A flashing dot on the right hand side of the display counts the seconds. The lifetime of the SecurID key fob token is limited to three years. After this time the Token needs to be replaced with a new on from Finter Bank Zurich (Switzerland). In addition to the key fob token you will be provided with a username and password by Finter Bank Zurich (Switzerland). These three components ensure the highest level of security for logging into the e-banking system. 4

1.8 Contact Please address your requests for Finter s E-Banking to eba-support@finter.ch. In addition, you are always welcome to contact your personal adviser directly. Please note: in no circumstances should you ever disclose the valid TAN or the password over the telephone. Employees of Finter Bank will never ask you to do this. 1.9 Your contribution to security Your contribution will be very important in preventing unauthorized access. Please ensure that third parties cannot obtain knowledge of your password or of your generated mtan or of your SecurID key fob. If you have a reason to suspect that this may have happened, please change your password immediately. The PIN must not be stored electronically! Never write your password down! It would be ideal if you did not note your selected password down in writing anywhere. We recommend that you change your password frequently. Do not use passwords that you already use in other systems. Do not use names, birth dates or other words that are easy to guess. Please note that despite all the security mechanisms in place, we cannot assume responsibility for your local machine because this is technically not feasible. Please e.g. ensure that no computer viruses can spread to your computer, whether through computer networks, via CD-ROMs, USB ports or disks. You should check your computer frequently for viruses with a current virus scanner program. Because of the encryption unauthorized persons will be unable to view your confidential account data. However, we should point out that your internet provider will be able to track whom you contact and at what times. If you use our system from abroad, please note that import or export restrictions may be in place for the encryption algorithms, which you may be violating if you load our application. 2 Starting Finter E-Banking 2.1 Calling up the program Start Finter E-Banking by entering the following internet address into your browser: 5

The password consists of a multi-digit alphanumeric code, which you also have received in a separate mail. 2.3 mtan Login After your valid password entry, you have to insert your security code as an mtan (mobile Tan) which you will receive on your mobile phone as a flash SMS, each time you login to Finter E-Banking.
